Benefit staying DLH in June?

Seems like prices have doubled and EMH is gone. Besides the great pool, convince me that the $$ is with it? Are the security lines smaller from that side?

or if not worth it, what is the next best option. Party of 5 and a suite at the courtyard Marriott is only $100 less than DLH, thank you!

Also my kids are 9 and 6. Worried about June crowds but have heard it is always busy nowadays- is june during the week going to be horrible? TIA!

We really don't know what the perks will be next June. EMH may return. One big perk is onsite guests have their own pool of park reservations. I've been following prices for some time and while the prices are a little higher, they don't appear to be double. That said, I would watch for specials in the spring. Book now and you can adjust then.

Both hotels are nice. Only you can decide which would work best for your family.

We love the Courtyard off Harbor. The pool is pretty small though but there are a couple of water slides and a hot tub. We usually get the two queens and bunk bed option with the two showers. I'd love to stay onsite but I just don't see the benefit currently if you know when you want to go, have your tickets purchased, and can make your reservations when they open.

Honestly don't see any benefit of staying on-site at the moment. I'm hoping that come spring, once the parade, World of Color, F! etc returns, that will mean there are more CMs and hopefully EMH will also return. We are booked for July on-site.

Is the line shorter coming from th DL hotel rather than harbor?
It wasn't in early December. Vloggers had posted it was, and people were ubering to the Magic Way cast parking drop off. The line was backed up to the valet area of the DLH. The Harbor side has 4x the security tents the DTD side has, and not all of them are usually open. Security wasn't happy, nor the people who had paid to drive to that side. Took us almost 25 mins to get thru at 930a.

Imagine Magic Key is blocked all of June.
Enchant Key is blocked every weekend in June, and the whole rest of the month after June 10th.
Believe and Dream Keys are wide open for June.

Of course, "busy" is subjective. Many years we go the first week that the lower passes (now called Magic Keys) are blocked out. It seemed less busy at that point since so many passes weren't able to attend without a regular day ticket.

We never stay on-site at DL, so I can't really comment on the benefits. Staying off-site can save so much money.

You said the Marriott Courtyard was $100 less a night. Each night you stay, that difference is:
2 adult sweatshirts -or-
3 adult t-shirts -or-
15 Dole Whip floats -or-
16 churros -or-
Dinner for 2 at Blue Bayou -or-
Lunch for 4 at Cafe Orleans -or-
16 Dole Whips -or-
3-4 pairs of Minnie ears -or-
4-5 pairs of Mickey ears....

Several off-site hotels and motels are closer to the main gates of Disneyland, unless you are staying at Grand Californian.

One thing you may not realize - the construction of the new DVC tower will be going full bore for next months/year which is unavailable - think jackhammers, construction walls , and beep/beep/beep
