Hi friendies.

Asking for your good thoughts for Grimmie, who is in the hopsital this evening with what appears to be a mild heart attack & artery blockage. We're still waiting for final test results and then we'll move forward from there. I talked to her and she sounds pretty good (cranky, like a good Grimmie should) but it's still worrisome.

Oh Brenda! My thoughts and prayers are with you and Grimmie.

Let's all scratch a lotto ticket in her honor!

We have our dates so let us know what you book and we will make it for a couple drinks this time if we cross over!

I will definitely let you know once I've figured it out. I am leaning towards a bit earlier in Oct than I went this year. These past 2 years I've had abnormally cold weather for at least part of the trip so hoping if I go a bit earlier it will be warmer. With my luck Florida will have temps below freezing the week I go! Will let you know what I decide -- and assuming our dates cross, we'll definitely have to meet for a few drinks to make up for not meeting again this past trip:goodvibes

(I was gonna suggest that if she needed to be revived...)

Glad she's being her normal cranky self... :grouphug:

Oh, Brenda, you and Grimmie are in my thoughts and prayers!:hug::hug: How are things this morning?

Robin,

I had giggle when I saw your post. You see - us Floridians wish for the cooler weather to come in October. Especially after a really hot summer. :rotfl:

You should have better luck with it being warmer at the beginning of October though.

It was great meeting you by the way!!:goodvibes

A lighthearted question I've been pondering this morning---

Which park would you give up during Christmastime--Disney Studios or Animal Kingdom? Just concerned that maybe I have too much planned with my mom going with us. I don't want to wear her out, even using a wheelchair for her arthritis. Just thinking if we need to weed out some activiites.

AK positives:
*DD can get pictures with the characters in Christmas accessories and avoid the Mickey/Minnie line at MVMCP.
*Jingle Jungle Parade
*Lots to slow down and enjoy in this park with my mom--shows, animal trails. etc.

DHS positves:
*Osborne lights
*Beauty and the Beast show
*Animation studio
*Butterfinger muffins (:rotfl2:)

Anybody want to analyze with me?

I'd drop the Animal Kingdome because the Osbourne lights are such a show stopper in Hollywood Studios. And it seems like there are more things to do in HS that apply across all age groups. I also love the way they decorate HS for the holidays.:lovestruc

...but I'm biased against AK because I'm not a big animal person what with disliking- alligator/crocodiles, all forms of birds, fish an most ocean critters, and most reptiles (had to list alligators/crocodiles separately because they are so darned creepy). If it was Mammal Kingdom I'd be all over it.

Brenda, I'm very sorry about your Mom.:flower3: Sending good thoughts & prayers for minimal damage & a quick recovery!!!

Guess what I have picked up, yep the lovely swine flu! Apparently not in WDW either, sometime after here at home. My dr really jacked me up with lots of meds, I also have a bad sinus infection.

Chelsi, We've adjusted our last several F&W trips a week or so every year trying to find that "sweet" spot. Last year '08 we did the end of Oct, got some really cold temps, 1st year '06, we did the first week & got the scorching temps. In '07 we did the 2nd week & it was still too hot. This year the 15-22nd the 1st 2 days we had super, super high humidity then we got a bit of the cold, but we were happy with it, quite a relief from the steamroom.

Agreed.:thumbsup2

I am sick, too. Maybe we haven't been drinking enough booze to kill germs?

I'd drop AK. Wouldn't want to miss the Osbourne lights. I guess it would depend on how important the Character pics are to your DD.

The weather was crazy this year and I didn't mind the cool down! It was just a little shocking - I can't remember needing a jacket once before in October! I think that time of year you just never know!
