Well, our meet is about 9:30PM on the 17th ... will you guys still be around or on your way home?

Jay and I arrive on the 14th ... and while we have many plans we would love love love to meet you two, even if for a quick hug. Let me know how your schedule looks ... we're planning on being at Epcot for most of the day on the 15th as well as various times on the 16th and 17th. Surely we can meet for a booze break?

Hello, Friendies! Long time no chat!

After much debate, Heather and I decided we needed to go back to WDW this fall. It was much too sad to think of another long year with no Disney fix. So we postponed a trip to the NC mountains over fall break and booked at Pop Century for Oct 10-17th.

I think we'll miss most of the Friendies DIS meet by a week, which is a shame (really sad to miss meeting up with Tigerkat and you & Jay, Brenda ), but we're still very excited!

We're not doing any of the special F&W dinners or anything. Just lots of noshing at the F&W booths and meals at a couple of favorites--California Grill & Flying Fish. Can't wait!

We just opened a bottle of 2006 columbia valley gewurztraminer that's been chilling since this morning ... it was an impulse buy from the bargain cart at our local grocery store.

YUM!

Light and sweet, it really pairs nicely with the boursin and italian bread we're snacking on while we're both supposed to be working. The wine is straw colored with a slightly spicy aroma ... no acidity at all.

I think we're going to have to find some more!

We're drinking rum and cokes--our special recipe. In a pint glass filled with ice, we mix 1 oz. Coconut Rum, 1 oz. Black Strap Rum, and a splash of Rose's Lime, topped with Coca Cola, of course.

Since I've been a Disboards derelict, I had to post a drink recipe to make amends!

P.S. We like Cruzan rum. Unfortunately, they have stopped stocking the Black Strap rum at our county's ABC stores. Boo!

We are elusive and fickle creatures. But we would love to meet up with you guys too! Unfortunately, we leave in the morning on the 17th. We will certainly be around on the 15th and 16th, though.

We're going to the halloween party on Thursday night, with breakfast plans for Kouzzina that morning and Downtown Disney after that. Mayhaps we could meet for an early afternoon drink at Epcot on Thursday? We'll be at Epcot all day on Friday, too.

Now that the Bears just scored a TD against the Steelers, I can say that I'm not frustrated with the game just yet. Although they were scaring me by having a couple "3 and punt" possessions.

Of course, I'm probably speaking Swahili if you're not football fans.

Took FOUR HOURS! I got the first four right at 3:30 (Kristin woke me up thinking I had neglected to set my alarm, but I had intended to get up at 4:30). The next three were impossible. I kept getting "the system is overloaded" and "Invalid Last Name" errors, but I could book other things. It was very odd.

So, at 7:00 I called WDW and got a great CM who booked the last 3 for me. Tea at the Grand, Narcoossee's on Christmas Eve and bluezoo on Christmas night. Other than that we have Yak & Yeti, Raglan Road, Boma and Fresh for breakfasts and Coral Reef.

Holy crap, even the Redskins won. They didn't deserve to though. Well, the defense deserved to, the offense is truly offensive.

TJs was out of goat brie so I have some light brie. will break it out to watch Iron Chef. And I think I now have enough portable soup cans to take to work until Columbus Day which is the next day I can do any shopping.
