What's this?! It's your birthday party & we get gifts?!

Don't get too excited, but yes. I have a grab bag of gifties for all the Friendies to choose from to say thanks for friendieship and encouragement. :goodvibes

Brenda now that I have my dates can I be updated on the list Please?:rolleyes1

Done.

I SO cannot believe I didn't know about this thread!!! Now that I do...subscribiiiiiiiiing! :)

Hiya Campbell! I think I was supposed to send you a PM about all this and then I forgot. I do that a lot lately. I'm glad you found us - don't be a stranger!

Hi Brenda :goodvibes

Long time no chat!

I was just going to quote your fabulous report about the cheese plate at the Contemporary.. I think it was in Argle Bargle or FooFah??? :confused3 but I can't remember and your links are GONE! :scared1:

Help a brotha out, would ya???

The cheese plate from the Contemporary was from last year's dining reviews ... the link to that one is in the first page of this thread. But I will make it easy for you before I sign out for the night.

CA Grill, October 2008

OMG- anyone else having Dis issues? The board are punishing me for having a job that doesn't let me check updates in the middle of the day anymore:rolleyes:

And thank you to everyone for the kind words.:grouphug: First day on the job was great, we'll see how it goes from here.:goodvibes

I meant to get on here earlier to thank you, but your suggestion is just perfect!

The night we're in Santa Barbara is my DH's birthday, and Italian is his absolute favorite. I've already checked out the menu, and my only problem is going to be figuring out what to have!

Thanks again! :worship:

Everything is good there, so if you go you can't order wrong. I'm glad I could help.:flower3:

what is up with WDW website now???

it won't let me bring up existing ADRs now unless I log into the website (which I have no need or desire to do). All I wanted to do was cancel an ADR ... wankers.

I'm having issues with the WDW site too. All the Disney sites are mocking me today!:headache:

The boards were killing me tonight too ... locked out for more than two hours. Bah! :headache:

Bah, indeed! Can't for the life of me figure out what the deal is with WDW's IT department. Their website has to be one of the strangest around. I wonder why reliability isn't a big priority? :headache:

On a happier note, I got excellent seats for Jersey Boys. The friends we're going with thought I was nuts to check every day as they were adding performances one at a time leading up to our dates. I told them, "Hey, this is nothing compared to what you have to do to get reservations at WDW. It's really no problem." They think I'm crazy, but they still like me. :rotfl::rotfl:

And Brenda, may I say that I love the term friendieship? It describes this thread perfectly! :goodvibes

Still not able to retrieve my reservation on WDW's site and we're at Tminus20 hours. I've read some people are getting it to work and some aren't. I'm extremely tempted to just wait and call at 7 am. Whogirl has given me her backup choices and does not seem worried--she wants Boma breakfast if we can't get Chef Mickey's!

Oh, and our friends decided that they will have to cancel their trip; their son is a senior this year and his counselor and principal both said if he missed finals the last three days of this semester they could hold his grades, possibly not graduate.

Laura, I'm glad you had a good first day at work! :goodvibes

Thanks:goodvibes

I love that whogirl is so into the Disney thing that she has backup restaurants.:lmao: You have raised her well.

That is both sweet and impressive about whogirl.
Good luck whogirl's mom!:goodvibes

Well, I did have to ask her what alternatives she wanted, but she certainly was flexible. Too much time sitting next to me looking at food porn!

I'm still locked out reservation wise; people are talking on the restaurant board of switching to Firefox and different versions of this and that. I'm no technical wizard so if I can't get in tonight before bed, I may not get up at 3. Here's the final run down and alternates.

Dec. 15 Beaches and Cream dinner

Dec. 16 7:00 ish Calif. Grill dinner (Wishes at 8 this night)

Dec. 17 Chef Mickey breakfast
2:00 Wonderland Tea Party
2:15 Garden View Tea for me and dh
MVMCP - just do Col. Harbour House

Dec. 18 CP Rose and Crown lunch (back up date Dec. 20)
Le Cellier or Chefs de France if CP on 20th

Dec. 19 CRT breakfast or lunch (dd opted out of bippiti boppiti for tea
with Alice)
'Ohana 6ish (back up Kona) watch Wishes from beach then return
to MK

Dec. 20 If no CRT, Akershus breakfast
LeCellier lunch, backup Chefs unless have to do CP here
If do Akershus, LC moves to dinner

Dec. 21 Chef Mickey breakfast if can't get it on the 17th, alt. Boma
Kouzzina 5:00ish dinner then Osborne Lights

Clear as mud, huh!

Thanks, Chelle! Congratulations on the new niece! 13 is a lucky number!

I was just thinking about you because I've been playing around on the dining site and can't get my reservation retrieved. I thought "next year I'm going to book with Chelle!". I hope the ADR system isn't acting crazy on Wednesday; I'm just ready for this to be over! Do you know how easy it was to get adrs at Disneyland????

She is a real little cutie, 6lbs 19 1/2 inches and she came out so fast that she's not even smushed, lol. She looks like a baby doll princess:

Sorry about all the ADR issues :sad2: You know I'd love to help you book for you next year :goodvibes Not that that'll stop you (or any DISer) from worrying about ADRs :lmao:

Whogirl has been raised well :thumbsup2

Bummer that your friends have to cancel, but as a parent of a high schooler; I understand. My daughter can only miss X amount of days per semester or they fail. Almost hit that with our Dec trip last year because of some sick days. Shocking but she could have failed all of her classes with straight A's

Yep, clear as mud :rotfl:

Good luck tomorrow! I'll be on my computer between 6:30 & 7am est, if you need any help pm me!

Jamie - it wasn't until you posted your dates for ADRs that I realized I have to make mine soon! I had better get cracking! Good luck tomorrow. :goodvibes

Good luck with your ADRs Jamie!pixiedust: No matter what I know the whofamily will be well feed.:thumbsup2

X&Y's flight time has been wanked again by AA ... those wanktastic wizards of wankary. :headache: So now it looks like they won't even hit the resort until about 2PM that afternoon ... it made proposing a Sci-Fi cancelation for all of us a surprisingly easy task. ;)

So we will miss our boozy Sci-Fi shakes but I'm sure we can make up for it elsewhere. And now we can have a nice relaxing afternoon before prettying up for V&A. :goodvibes

Aunt Bendy doesn't like to say she told them so, but she did!!! Numerous times ... based on personal experience!!! :rolleyes1

Eww, flight changes stink. I keep checking mine every day to make sure they are the same.:surfweb: At least you got out of Sci-Fi for more V&A primping time.

bison pastrami? that sounds interesting ... where did you first find it?

EDITED: as I read your post again I think Costco must be where you first found the pastrami. Sweet Jeebus ... I really am losing IQ points. I know I was a lot smarter three years ago than I am now ... I wonder what happened? Too much booze???

You started hanging out with us... :rolleyes1

Do you know how easy it was to get adrs at Disneyland????

Excruciatingly easy... :rotfl2: & you get to talk to a real person who knows what they're talking about... but then again... they don't have over 200 restaurants... :confused3

Haven't been able to get my reservation to pull up all day on the dining site--E202.....code only. I thought it would be a good idea to practice, but it's just making me think the system will do this when I'm sitting there at 3 am.

This is one time where practice will NOT make perfect... no matter how often you try... :rotfl:

Next time take nephew A&B... ;)

I heard that they are selling Baileys shakes over at DTD.. I believe over in the direction of Ragland Road... They are $9 (of course if you get lost and go the other direction, I'd suggest you go INSIDE Capt. Jacks and get one of their signature letal strawberry margaritas...:woohoo: :woohoo:)

It's sort of like trying to get Palo at 90 days out... :lmao: :lmao:

I've been making and canceling ADRS since July and it's never asked me for a login to retrieve an ADR ... it used to be the ADR# and the phone number. I just had to make a long distance call to cancel but was still able to book online for the replacement.

It's stupid ... they should just make up their minds about what they want to do and then do it. I'm just annoyed ... had to bring work home ... Federer just lost the US Open ... I have to get up early for a meeting tomorrow ... wah wah wah wah wah!!! :rotfl2:

Cheese???? Will that make you feel better???

It's a 1 legged Bendy TR!!!

(I think we should take a group pic with us having one leg!!! :rotfl:)

OK, so....
what I'm gathering is that there is now 'online reservations' and you must make them at 3.

ADRs are harder and harder to get.

ADRs suck even more than usual.

Those poor, poor schmucks who don't know everything about WDW will be in trouble.

Anything else?:headache:
