And thank you so much for spelling bated breath correctly. I am going to make a big shark graphic for anyone who spells it "baited breath"

Now if you could only solve the mystery that is "dinning". That's my biggest pet peeve, and I see it all the time.

Maybe "dinning" has something to do with the "shinning" and it will cause all of us to go bonkers and consider "redrum" to correct the problem. :rotfl2:

The dinning thing is baaaad. But you have me stumped; what is redrum?

I was poking fun at The Shining ... the little boy in the story keeps having visions where he sees the word "redrum." Turns out it's the word murder spelled backwards. :scared1:

ahhhhhhhhhhh... never watched the movie so it makes sense I wouldn't "get it" :lmao: Thanks for the ejukashun.

Have I been under a rock and completely missed that the new La Cava Tequila thing was going to be more than tequila tasting? I knew it was going to continue, but didn't know they would be serving more than that.

From AllEars:

New La Cava del Tequila Serves Up Tastes of Mexican Tequila Heritage

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – La Cava del Tequila is the newest opportunity for Epcot guests to explore the tastes of an international culture – in this case, the heritage and tradition of tequila-making in Mexico. Opening early September at the Mexico pavilion in World Showcase, La Cava del Tequila offers more than 70 types of authentic tequila, ranging from the simplest to the rarest of them all, aged to perfection and made from the finest distilled spirits from the agave plant.

Amid décor, art work and original artifacts all celebrating the Mexican heritage, a “Tequila Ambassador” will educate Walt Disney World guests on the history of tequila-making.

Also on the drink menu: Exotic and uniquely blended margaritas, introducing a variety of flavored salts, spices and tropical fresh fruits masterfully prepared by experienced mixologists. A variety of quick tastes, tapas style, will be available, including freshly made guacamole, home-fried fresh corn chips, salsas, ceviches and tostadas.

Ah yes ... Jay and I are really looking forward to finally having a reason to hang out in Mexico. We saw that update a while back on All Ears and are very excited! :cool1:

I must have been under that same rock. DH just told me about this last week. I'm excited about real Margaritas with fresh ingredients!

Yep - going there on Saturday.

We'll be there on Saturday too!

I am so excited about real Margaritas too. I can't stand the ones they serve at the kiosk in front of the Mexico pavillion.:crazy2: They taste so metallic or something. If I want to taste metal, I'll make out with a robot, thank you very much.

Not that anyone is interested... but the little green furry butt now has his own Facebook page... (by semi-popular request...:rolleyes1)

I will be uploading pictures from his adventures there - starting with the Panama ones and then going on... :thumbsup2

Please feel free to friend him... he doesn't bite... (at least I don't think he does...) (he's pretty good if you continually feed him milky ways...)

He does however have competition for his name... (how dare they take it first....:headache:) but this guy leaves me a little flat wouldn't you say???)

Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival offers Tables in Wonderland Member discounts

Tables in Wonderland Members have a special opportunity to purchase discounted advance tickets to the culinary demonstrations and wine/beverage seminars at the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival, taking place September 25 - November 8, 2009.

Beginning Wednesday August 26, a limited number of discounted tickets will be available for Tables in Wonderland Members to purchase online in advance of the general public. The discounted rate is $5 a person (regularly $8 a person) while they last. (Events are expected to sell out.) Please note that the discount won't be available at the event, so advance purchase is required to get the discounted rate. Discounted tickets, if available, may be purchased until 24 hours before the start of any individual session.

The culinary demonstrations and wine/beverage seminars, which last about 45 minutes, let participants learn from featured chefs and wine presenters, pick up a few tips and taste the featured items. Everyone must have a ticket to attend, and attendees must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages.

There is a link in the email that leads you to a page where you can register, but the registration cannot be completed yet apparently, because the link on that page does not yet work.

There is also a plug for the PFTS so I am thinking they might not be going so well... no discount.

And...

Culinary Adventure Signature Dining

A highly acclaimed chef collaborates with the resident chef of a top Disney restaurant to create a truly magical and memorable meal. A representative from one or more hosting wineries will present accompanying wines for each dinner.

In addition to the Signature Dining Events already listed on the Festival Guide, please note the addition of the following dinner: Thursday October 8th at 5:30 pm at the Wolfgang Puck Grand Café at Downtown Disney West Side with Chef Wolfgang Puck. $125.00 per person, plus tax, gratuity included. Theme park admission is not required.

What?! I didn't receive an email! Thanks so much for posting this info!:worship: Now I have to get my book out & take a look at those demos & seminars again.

I like your email so much better than mine. I just received this one "How to Avoid Vacation Weight Gain" from WeightWatchers!:rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

Maybe the emails are coming out in batches?? I hope so!

I got an email even though I do not have an active TIW membership. I was waiting to buy one on Saturday.

Unless they do the rumored DVC/AP advance bookings too, I won't be able to try and reserve anything this way until Sunday. I will buy the TIW Saturday but I'm not at DVC that night so I won't have internet. My friend doesn't have active TIW either. So I do hope they either let DVC and AP sign up too, or they won't sell out of Andrew Zimmern before Sunday. But I think they probably will sell that one out pretty quickly.

I got it! I much prefer emails about eating on vacation. ;)

I hope they send that out too. I'm wondering if that F&W website is the only way to book it. I can't log in, it's not accepting my regular login name & I can't find a place to register for the site.

Holy crap! I moved a few thousand miles and now there are 96 pages in a new thread?:scared1:

I miss my boozies. Hopefully I'll have time to catch up a bit in the next few days!!

I got the email today, I'll have to check the book (which I only received last week :sad2: ) and see if there is one or 2 I need to book. I hope you don't need an active TIW card at the day of the event, mine expires the end of September.
