Gina, the bridal shower (and those cupcakes!) looked fabulous!

I couldn't get on early enough to book the discounted rate of the demos I wanted other than the Bunratty Mead demo on 10/14. But I was able to book full price for Todd English on 10/16 and Greg Richie from Tchoup Chop on 10/17.

mmmm...I can smell the homemade spaghetti sauce a stewing downstairs as I am up here typing this...while sipping on my reisling...good times, esp. for a Tuesday night!! Greg is making dinner so i have a few extra moments to Dis..Love it!

It was at a restaurant called the Chateau, which is an italian place. Yummy food and the view was very pretty ..as it was on the water..

SOO GOOD..there were a ton extra..needless to say, a cupcake a day is a good way to live
Here is the favor the girls made: cupcake pops! I believe they are chopped up bits of cupcake blended with frostiing, formed into cupcakes and then covered with ganache and stuck on a stick!!!! I haven't even had mine yet..but i think that is going to change tonight:

Hi all! Well, DD started kindergarten today.....I was not expecting to feel very emotional about it because she's been going to day care since she was 9 months, but I have to admit that I got a little teary eyed this morning. She of course, could not wait to see the back of me and DH!

Aww, they grow up so fast, don't they? Hope she had a wonderful day!

Allright, so I promised some home made food porn the other day

Plate of Camorones Mexicanos (Shrimp Mexican style) with cheesey yellow rice, onions, green peppers & tomatoes from my garden and avocado slices (not from my garden). Glass of sangria & taco shells

There wasn't any sangria left over (duh!) and very little food leftovers, so I guess it turned out OK

I booked $60 worth of discounted seminars this morning .. .. we've never done that many seminar before because we never wanted to wait in line for a place.

We never got an email from DVC but thanks to Jeanne sharing the registration link I got through at work this morning with no trouble at all and got everything I wanted.

I bathe daily ... I brush my teeth ... I'm not totally surly all the time ... I feel like they don't want to spend any time with us at all. And supposedly X likes to cook ... why wouldn't they want to see at least one demo?

Meh. I'm just going to have a drink and dream about October.

Yes, we thought it was amazing how well it all worked! I think that is why we went back and booked more then we thought. We are doing about one a day.. should be good!

I'm very excited ... lots of new stuff in small doses! And I'm looking forward to that lapu lapu ... although I think I'll need two so that I can make a spiky madonna-type bra out of the pineapples once I'm done drinking.

A couple of steaks from Annie Gunn's Smokehouse Market...

Best random cheese plate, evah! In Mickey's left ear the elusive and unctuous Benedictine from Wisconsin; in his right ear a Frenchie Cheese called Basquerie; and in place of honor my Fromager d'Affoinois!

The sample bottle of liqueur we picked up ... YUM!!! I don't care much for ginger but this is lovely ... light, a little sweet, and kind of citrus-ey. Tasted good as a margarita, too.

My precious raspberry-brie tarts before they met their death ...

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS AT HOME!!!!

Ouch indeed. The lesson here is never broil your pastry ... no matter how good an idea it may seem at the time (and I was sober when that happened ... ).

I received my customized WDW maps from disneyworld.com.

You can customize them to add just your favorite attractions, restaurants etc or do as I did and just select everything. They come in a nice envelope that looks somewhat like a treasure chest from Disney Destinations. I ordered all 4 maps and also received one of the whole resort area. It also comes with a small page of stickers that you can put on the maps and a star to show your resort. Takes 2-4 weeks to get it in the mail. I got mine in 2 1/2 weeks.
