Not sure if I'm going to do a full dining review but wanted to let my friendies know where and what we ate.

Rick and I started off with dinner at Citricos on Saturday night. Of course I forgot my camera :sad2:

Our waiter was a bit harried at first and I wasn't expecting great service but he finished up with a few tables and then he was great. We had a bottle of Sonoma Cutrer Chardonney, a favorite of ours and the cheese trio. Wasn't that great. 1st cheese was a lemon ricotta - BORING with very little lemon taste. 2nd was my favorite, a Kasseri from Greece. Last was Forme d'Ambert which was good but I'm not a big lover of blue cheese.

For entrees I had the braised short ribs with quattro formaggi potatoes and Rick had the Roasted Chicken Breast - Tanglewood Farms Chicken with Creste di Gallo Pasta, Parmesan Cream, Prosciutto di Parma, and Asparagus Tips. Both entrees were wonderful and full of flavor. Hard to believe we were to full for dessert but we did enjoy more wine at the Top of the World lounge watching Wishes.

On Sunday we had lunch at Columbia Harbor House which was included on the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Rick had fish and I had the BLT salad, both were good.

Dinner was at Chefs de France, our first time eating there. We enjoyed a glass of pouilly fuisse which was enjoyable and the bread.

Then we had the cheese plate, I couldn't get over the size of it. There was a goat cheese, very good, a brie, a gruyere, and a munster. I'd say the goat and munster where my favorites.

I had the Filet de boeuf grille, sauce au poivre noir Gratin Dauphinois et haricots verts - Grilled tenderloin of beef with a black pepper sauce original potato gratin of Savoy and green beans. Very good and the steak was a perfect medium rare.

Rick had Plat de Cote de Boeuf au Cabarnet avec pates - Beef short ribs braised in Cabernet with pasta, pearl onions and mushrooms. He said the short ribs were very good but the pasta was dry and boring.

Hard to believe but once again we were to full for dessert :sad2: and even sadder we were to full to stop for a cocktail at La Cava del Tequila :scared1:

Anyone interested?????

If I go to Alaska it'll be the August 30 cruise. I'm pretty dismayed they picked Alaska instead of Japan or Hawaii too.

Planky certainly gets around :lmao:

well they won't refund the booze tickets I bought by accident. So, Elin, if you want them let me know. I have one general admission and one beer/wine/spirits that is good for either Saturday 11/7 or Sunday 11/8. I could use them Saturday but I want to leave Saturday open in case I get a chance to go to work. (I know....work)

The Magic is going BACK to the Med in 2011 also... and I highly DOUBT it's going to come back with the 2 other ships in PC... so... maybe... :thumbsup2

Planky certainly gets around :lmao:

He tries to run away as often as possible... even if it's just down the street to Wendys...

Steel Magnolias... :goodvibes

:rotfl: I love that movie. My brother and I always say to each other "If you don't have anything nice to say, come and sit by me":lmao:

I will take them! For Sunday. Let me know who you want to work it out. It looks like you transfer it online into my name and then I print them out. I can send you a check or do PayPal or whatever you are comfortable with, Catherine. Just let me know!

OK, let me look into how to do the transfer, you may want to PM me the name you want on them, and we can meet there.

That's not a parrot. It's a parrot shaped flask full of rum.

I might transfer my dummy cruise to the Panama Canal January 2011. I've already done the Panama Canal but they are only repeating one port. And I want a specialty cruise, not the dummy. It'll depend on if they let me do 1/2 price deposit.

I love you more n my luggage... ;)

Planky, you need to ditch the parrot for some rum! :thumbsup2

what do you think is under his hat???

Not a good start to my day. I fell on my stairs and rolled my ankle really bad. A trip to my doctors office which has an urgency care clinic with x-ray and mri facility. Luckily no break but I am in an air cast for a detached ligament to the top of my foot. And it will heal on its own with rest, ice and elevation. Guess I wont be back to work until Monday.

Oh no....I hope you feel better soon!

Here's is some home cooked food porn for y'all. After eating take-out & hospital food for a week it tasted soo good! I've been griping to DH that I keep coming across recipes with smoked paprika & couldn't find it anywhere. The sweet man went online & ordered some for me. Of course then I couldn't find the recipes I had been wanting to fix. So I just winged it & made up my own.

Yeah, dinner is ready!

I'm glad we ate dinner on the patio last night, because it hasn't stopped raining here today.

Sheryl, that all looked amazing! And since all I had for dinner was a bowl of Corn Pops, I am now dying for some steak!

ALSO... be sure to get on the phone with DCL to transfer your dummy date... and do it early... lots had to do it for the last one and were on for quite a while...

I figure just as long as I'm on the ship... I don't care... :rotfl:

We're going to the same dinner, so we'll see you there. We'll have some non-Diser's with us too. I don't do dresses, so if you decide to do pants, you'll have company in that department. I think no matter which way you go, dress or nice top/pants that you will be just fine. They did say business casual on the phone when I called. The only time I'll be conned into putting on a dress is when we do V&A's. :)

What fun it would be to say hello! We'll see you there. Should be a very enjoyable evening.

Yikes, so sorry. Hope you're resting, and are on the mend soon.

Thanks to Briarmom, oybolshoi, BriarRosie, and Keep Moving Forward for the helpful fashion advice. I think I'll go with the dress. :thumbsup2

Shovan, what a delicious looking dinner. Yum!!

We've never been on a cruise, so I'm enjoying reading about possibilities. Maybe one of these days. :cool1:

Have a great weekend, friendies!!:goodvibes

Sorry to hear this, Deb. I hope you're able to get back on your feet soon and have minimal discomfort.
