DISmeet ... October 17th, Beach Club Villas, The Solarium, 9:30PM

I will be emailing invitations with additional details to everyone who has PMd me with their information. If you haven't sent me your email address please do as soon as you can. We're trying for a final head count by August 31st so that we can place a custom cake order with the Boardwalk Bakery as soon as possible in September.

I don't expect donations toward the cost of the cake ... I would just ask that everyone bring their favorite beverage of choice so that we can all toast to each other's health.

Jay and I always shoot for mid-October because the F&W Festival has got its act together (well, except for last year, but let us never speak of it again) and we try to avoid the free dining crowds.

But you're still one of us as evidenced by the zip-zap-grabulous button you will be sporting!

Woo hoo!!

And yes, she did a great job! I was so excited when Jay called me at work this afternoon to let me know that they'd arrived I was SQUEEEEEING in my cube and alarming my co-workers! LOL!

I wasn't trying to be a sad sack- when I look up the events too it seems like all the cool stuff is going to be later in the month as well. I'll do better planning for next year, I'm so used to just rolling down to DCA whenever I want.

Maybe I can use the button to warn people? More of my flock will be coming! Batten down the hatches!

Oh, and I just found out that my Mom is taking us all on a surprise cruise from October 9th-14th! I'll stuff myself at F&WF for a week, have a week off, then go down to Mexico to gorge myself again. We even found a 2 wineries to visit. I'm going to need bigger pants...
