Is it worth fighting the Godawful traffic they talk about to get to the Belz' Character Outlet or is the one right next to DTD (Premium Outlets) good enough? We are not really looking for any hardcore shopping experience where we'll be spending tons of money...just looking to get some typical souvenir items before we even get to the parks to save a little cash...tshirts, character hats, maybe some pins. Just wondering if the Premium Outlet really does have discounted prices being so close to Disney itself. Thanks!!

We did both in the middle of March and I found the Belz to be a better one with alot more choices. I also found it to be not as crowded as the Premium outlets. Same deals in both.

Don't know when you are going, but we visit Belz every trip and have never encountered any traffic getting to or from.

But siobhan1997 is correct that the deals are the same at each location. I like Belz just because it is the original spot and its kind of a tradition to go there. Also, Sweet Tomatos is right near there - fantastic place for lunch or dinner. One of the best values in town.

Thanks for the opinions. I guess the decision will go to the kids whether they want to give up alot or a little of their DQ time! I would love to see the other stores at Belz (esp the Mikasa outlet!)..but not if it means 4 whiny kids anxious to hit the video games!! I read on a website somewhere that the traffic at that intersection to Belz is the most crowded in Florida (something like 80,000 cars a day???)....would hate to have to get my way through something like that! (we would be going April 18)

Last trip in January, we went to Belz, and didn't have a traffic problem. If you get a map and plan the route to stay off International Dr. as much as possible, it is better. There are back ways to get there from Disney to avoid I-Drive.

I was at the Belz outlet on April 3. Took I-4 from Disney and didn't run into any big crowds of people on the interstate, the exits, parking, etc. I did notice that International Drive was very busy, but I didn't need to go any further on there then was necessary.

I got some great deals at Carters and the T-shirts and candy for "treats" to bring back at Character Warehouse.
