I think its was better than a nose ring. i hate those personally. but im getting mine peirced in a week or so. and like i was 14 when i asked but my parents wanted me to wait until i was 16. because of my dad. but i know people that have one and they are like 10. so i think 14 is an ok age. so if you want one then go for it :]

Even when I got older I decided not to get it done because EVERYONE has it done. And I think that it would look ugly in the future.
AND I'd be really paranoid that it would get stuck to my clothes and rip off.

But I say if you feel like you're ready and your mom feels like you're ready, go for it, just be SURE it's what you want to do.

I don't really get the point of piercings where people can't see them. What's the point of getting a bellybutton piercing when people will only see it while you're swimming. Unless you walk around lifting your shirt enough to show it off all the time, very few people will know you even have it.

I like nose piercings a lot more. Although, I think on some people they look really bad. It all depends on facial structure, to me.

But then again, I like piercings in general.

I don't know your reasonings, but I see girls trying to be "sexy" at young ages, and it just teaches younger guys to see girls and women as a lot of guys and men see them: as sexual objects instead of individual human beings. Wearing revealing clothes doesn't help either. Do teenage girls REALLY want the guy who only likes them if they wear skanky clothing, or do they want the guy who likes them for who they are?

Not to attack anyone, it's just sad to see some teenage girls undo everything that feminists have done for women in the past.

I agree. How many 12 year olds do you see at the mall wear those really short dresses and incredibly tight shirts? Lots.

i dont think they look bad once you get older. my dance teacher still has hers in, and shes almost 4 months pregnant. she even got a pregnancy belly ring to wear. idk, i just think it looks pretty. and i think people with nose rings either try to be punk or just cant pull it off. alot more people can pull off belly rings
