Oct 25, Tuesday, Day 4

We wake up at 7.45am today. Now on US time!! Sea is nice and calm today. I could not believe the temperature when you stepped out onto the balcony at say 6 in the morning and the wind is really blowing but its so hot. Lovely but strange. We decide to go for a more casual breakfast today in the self serve restaurant. The choice is amazing. We all start with fruit and then John has the full works while the girls and I have a modest ( Yeah right) plate of pancakes, bacon and hashbrowns. My friends back home just cannot understand how I can eat smokey bacon with sweet syrup. I say don't knock it till you have tried it. Am I right??

Anyway its Mummy time today so John and the girls go back to the cabin and I go for a massage. It was called a spa special and incorporated a back and neck massage, scalp, foot and ankle and facial all for $88. Now I neither have the time or the inclination really to spoil myself like this back home but it was really nice. My back felt a bit bruised for a few days after though!! Now I thought $88 was a real bargain for this but she was such a good sales person as well as a masseause that she convinced me I needed $180 worth of products. I know I know, SUCKER!!!! Anyway we then all had a lazy afternoon of sunbathing and reading, charging our battreries for Disney, and BOY, little did I know how much we would need it.!!!

It's coming up to 4pm and we dock in San Juan at 5pm so we go to the promenade deck and order some cappucinnos and watch our arrival into port. We disembark and have a look around the shops. Not very impressed with this place, and its dark by 6pm so did not really get a chance to see much anyway. They have a chain of shops in the caribbean called Del Sol, and their products are opaque, but when brought into sunlight they turn different colours. Very cool, and hence some shopping for gifts required here. They do all sorts from hair accessories to jewellery to T. Shirts. So a few $$ lighter and we are back on the ship. We went for dinner in the casual restaurant tonight. Took the girls back to the cabin and settled them down and then went for a few drinks in the bar. Luckily our cabin was the next level down and right by the lift, so could check them regularly. Tonight I was meeting a lady and her Husband called Amy and John who I had been corresponding with via a site sim to DIS called CruiseCritic. You guessed it, it all about cruising. She is from Indiana and has a daughetr called Ellen who was a similar age to Georgia and in the next few days made great friends. Anyhow we had some drinks with them in the sports bar and then went to bed about 11.30.

Tomorrow St Marteen.

I am really enjoying reading your trip reports.

I look forward to your next day.
