31st Oct, Monday, Day 10

We set the alarm for 7am, as we wanted to go for breakfast and get to AK for opening at 9am. In reality, we slept through alarm, woke at about 9am, skipped breakfast and were at AK by ten. Well all plans are made to be broken!!! We have done AK a fair few times now and its our least favourite park although does have some of our fav rides here. So the plan was to get in, do the rides and get over to seaworld for 1ish. We really broke with family tradition today, as usually we always have b'fast at pondersosa and then our 1st day at seawolrd. Because we only have 8 days at Disney instead of 2 weeks we have had to compact things slightly!!!!!

So into AK and straight to Dinosaur which has no lines. I love this ride although John and the girls think its too jerky. Then over to Primeival Whirl. This is way more jerky than Dinosaur and makes me feel a bit queasy. Probably because we have empty tummies!! We then make our way over to Asia and do Kali River Rapids, again no line so walk on to this. Out comes the poncho. I know, I let the group down but I just did not fancy getting wet yet. Really enjoyed this and then over to Johns favorite, the safari. Although it was a bit later on the day, we saw a lot more animals than in the past. Sad thing was today we did not save Little red.... ONLY joshing with you, of course we did, predictably as ever ;)

So with all rides done, we head over to seaworld for 12pm. I was worried that it would be really busy as we usually get to seaworld by nine on our first day. It was busy but not horrendous. Stop at the stingrays for a pat and then over to Journey to Atlantis. I was not allowed to wear my poncho for this and we all got soaked. They have made this ride wetter!! We wander over to Kraken to see if Georgia is tall enough. The poor little thing has been despearte to do the big coasters for the past 4 years since she was nearly 5.
Well she comes back over beaming. She is tall enough. That baby bio I was puting in her food must have worked. We are well chuffed as this means she can do all the Universal coasters as well. Now all we have to do is convince Alex that they really are good fun. She chickened out in 03 although she was tall enough. We finally manage to convince her and get in line. 10 mins later and we are cranking our way up the steep incline. She is talking to herself...not a good sign. All the way up I am pulling on her restraint to make sure its tightly shut. I do this all holiday. Must be a mum thing. Anyway she screams her way round Kraken and I am really worried about her. Well 3 continuous rides later and yes.... Alex loved it. Wishes she had done it in 03. I Keep the temptation to say "told ya so, told ya so, told ya, told ya, told ya so" and am just really pleased that this means the whole family can now do all the coasters together. Its taken 9 years, but we are there :goodvibes
Hulk and duelling dragons here we come :Pinkbounc

As you can imagine, we had eaten nothing since our meal at Jungle Jims last night and we are all starving. We go for lunch at Voyagers wood fire pizza. The food here is very good and was not here in Oct 03. We all have pizza (a massive slice) and fries, Plus sodas came to $36. Very good value. Rested, we head over to the penguin and shark encounters. Alex loves sharks for some bizarre reason and Georgia loves Penguins. I love the manatees myself.
We then go and do Wild Arctic. We have not had to stand in line today for anything, long may that continue. We leave the park at 4.30pm with chocolate icecream in huge waffle cones. They were so big that we were bored of them after only eating half and threw them away. SACRILIGE!!

We decide to head to Walmart off the Sandlake Road as the roadworks off the 192 had put us off, although that is by far the better one. BIG MISTAKE!!
$180 lighter and the girls are hungary again. We go to Sweet Tomatoes as this ended up being one of the family favourites last time. I was not hungary so just had a drink but the rest went for it. $29 plus tip, not bad. It is now 8pm. We were going to do the Haunted Wagon Ride at the FT Wilderness Lodge but no-one felt like it. This was a real shame, but will have to try it next time.
Tomorrown US and dinner at HRC.
