Belle redesign in parks

I like the hair... The dress is actually ok. I didn't like the old tubes...

I just got out of ETWB (ok, got out of ETWB and pushed past the second MSEP to the bus stop). I liked the dress in person. I definitely never liked the pillowy padded 'tubes' and thought the yellow was too gold. I think this yellow is a bit too pastel but I like it better. I do think the dress looks more cohesive in person- all the exact same shade. It's the mix of brocade, velvet, and organza that makes it photograph odd. I hardly noticed the earrings but I admit I preferred the old hair accessory.

All the Princesses will be getting a new make over. All the merchandise will be their "new" style. In the parks, Cinderella and Belle have been changed over. Aurora/Sleeping Beauty will be changing and then Ariel. Currently, the others are remaining the same for the time being.

While I agree the new dress doesn't look great in the pictures, I think it's absolutely stunning in the video posted upthread. It glows and sparkles like every princess dress should! I like it much more than the bright yellow dress, which was a bit too mustard-y for me. I also love the gold dress from the BatB show at DHS, but that one is only really suitable on stage with theatrical lighting.

I am afraid I have to agree with most that the new Belle gown is the completely wrong colour and the old hair was better, even if they changed the hair but kept the crown/band it would be miles better. I just showed DD the 3 photos the OP posted and she pointed to the them saying (in order top to bottom) 'There's Belle', 'There's Scarlett' (she is meaning Scarlett O'Hara!!! ) and 'There is the bride'! I told her that they were all Belle but she had a new dress and she said, 'No, Mummy is silly, it's not Belle!!' Oh dear!!!!

Doesn't look like the movie so I'm not a fan of the new, don't care for the hair either. Together they remind me of an old.civil war movie not a Disney film.

Not a super huge fan of the new Belle. I agree the old hair should have stayed... I'm hoping the dress looks better in person, but I really want to snip off all the lace! Especially on the sleeves! I don't super love new Cinderella, but I don't think it's as bad as Belle. I am excited/nervous for Aurora... she is my favorite!

The lighting is REALLY bad.. Is that normal? Or just an off day?

Yes, the lighting is mostly bad. Parts have better spotlight coverage than others, but the lighting is mostly bad. All of our photopass pics were terrible. Fortunately I shot my own in RAW format, so I was able to adjust the white balance as needed.

I really don't like the lace. It, plus the hair, are just too much.

I know this is the princess look but I actually like Belle when she's in her everyday clothes in the movie. I guess it's the ole girl next door look that does it for me.
