Hello everyone,
I just bought the Belle costume at TDS for 60% off (thanks wovenwonder) and was wondering if you guys think it would be appropriate to wear on one of the formal nights on our 7 day cruise or would the semi-formal nights be more appropriate?. When we cruise in June 2003 DD will be a few days shy of turning 8 and I'm wondering if she'll think its corny. She loves getting dressed up and I thought this would be perfect for taking pics with the princesses.

What do you guys think? Anyone else with a DD who is 7 going on 27?

Thanks.

:D Mary

My DD6 is wearing her Belle outfit on formal night. She is very excited and can't wait (I just wish the outfit was better made!).

Either night the dress would be appropriate. Are you eating in Lumiere's one of the formal, semi-formal nights? Now that would be appropriate!!!!

Yes, I was also in the TDS last night and saw the B&B costumes on sale. It really is a great buy!!!

I think she would look beautiful! I've seen other threads where the little ones wore costumes to formal, semi., etc. What more ppropriate time to be a 'princess' than on a Disney cruise? We will have a 'Cinderella' 4yo DGD and 'Belle' 3 yo DGD at the formal.

We don't leave til June 21, 2003 so I don't know my dining rotation yet. But your right, wearing it to Lumiere's would be a blast.

I agree, the costume could be made better. I'm thinking of having it professional pressed to see if that would help it a bit.

Thanks for the responses so far. I hope everyone enjoys their cruise :).

In my opinion the WDW costumes are better made than Disney Store costumes... you can get them thru WDW mail-order.

They are a little more pricey I think, but just look so much more like the real thing... They are $55.00 I believe. They have Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Tinkerbell, and Snow White.

Are you on Eastern or Western....if you are on Eastern formal nights are on Sunday and Semi-Formal on Thursday. If you request the PLAPLAP rotation it would put you in Lumiere's on formal night and Animators Pallet on Semi-Formal night.

If you are on the Western, Formal night is on Monday and Semi-Formal is on Thursday. The APLAPLA rotation would put you in Lumiere's on both formal and semi-formal nights.

We called DCL and requested the above rotations for both our respective Eastern and Western cruises. They were not guaranteed, but both times were granted.

I like these rotations because you are in the most formal rest's on the the formal nights and the tropical rest. on Tropical and Mexicali nights.
