I was at BJ's the other day and they had beautifully detailed princess costumes. These are not like the junk in the Disney Store that little girls love so much. There were ribbon rose buds and real velvet. Each came with accessories like fingerless gloves, or a crown for 29.99. Trust me I was in tears because Idid not have a little girl buy one (or 4 ) for and they sure as heck did not fit me. In the toy aisle they also had the matching slippers crowns and septres all in an accessory pack for 9.99. If you think that by any chance you would have someone to get these for please hurry. They are the best I have seen and are a good value for the price. I love this kind of stuff and my cross to bear is that I only have boys.

What is BJ's?

From a mom of 4 DD,3 of which still love to dress up :) thanks :)

BJ's is a warehouse shopping club similar to Sam's and Costco.

I will have to looke for these when we go next time which won't be too long. Thanks for the tip.

hey ratpack!!! :o my friend.... ;) will you let me know if you find these? we don't have a bj's within 3 hours of us!

thanks! ;)

What do you think I am, your personal shopper?;)

I'll let you know what I find.

I promise I will repay the favor! What could be better than shopping anyway??? :)

It was BJ's in Portsmouth NH but I am sure that the other clubs would order them if asked. I had seen some in Orlando last year at Costco and they were nice but not like these.

Does BJ's have a web site that might have a picture of these? We dont have a BJ's here, but I would love to see a picture!

I think they do have a site but to to ask Jeeves. Just be CAREFUL that you type BJ's WHOLESALE CLUB not just BJ.s or you will get something you do not want to see. I made the mistake the first time I went looking for it.

Went...or should I say RAN to BJs this am. No sign of dresses in Ocean Township. I now have the shakes, I am desperate to find.

Oh my god you sound just like me. Make them order them for you . Tell the manager to call the store in Portsmouth New Hampshire if they are unsure as to what the number is. I know I would not rest. If necessary then just call the main office and tell them what you want .Trust me they WILL get it for you.

I believe I saw the exact dresses at Costco today- they had those 4 princess costumes with the accompaniaments (sp?) for 29.99. Darn cute- too bad I have two boys! :p

Went to the BJs in Leominster, MA on Tuesday and they had a bunch of boxes of the princess dresses! We have Cindy's ressies for our trip next month and my 3 year old DD was so happy to get her Princess Aurora dress (complete with matching shoes, tiara and wand of course!).

Here's a picture of the dress:

They were 29.99, and the 3 accessories were 10.99. I looked at buycostumes.com and the SAME exact dress was $70.99 on "sale" for $59.99!!!! And the accessories were another $30!

Thanks again Bella the Ball 360!! :D

I went to the Dis store yesterday and they had dresses for between 34-84 dollars depending on the Princess and I did not think they were as nice. Granted they had a lot more tulle but these have a crepe material and a stiffening underneath that in my opinion would hold up a heck of a lot longer than tulle which would rip at a moments notice. Let's face it most "little princesses" are not always the most careful of their clothes.

I am thrilled you got them I hope you enjoy them and it is great to know someone can.

You'd think I had stock in these costumes. I have to live vicariously through all of those who have girls. Anyway, went to buycostumes.com and the dresses I mentioned and Jenny 2 bought are the ones that say "child role play" under the name. I noticed a buch of different costumes obviously by other makers of the same princess style but the ones we are talking about are the 59.00 marked from 70.00 ones. They had Belle, Cinder, and Sleeping but they do not show Snow White. They have a horrible SW on this site. It is nothing like the one at BJ's.

ohhhh!!! why don't we have these stores around us? the pain of small-town living... :(

i want those dresses!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Isabella SO wants to be Cinderella for Halloween but the best costume I've found is in the Storybook Heirlooms (storybook.com) catalog. The dress is $49. The sequin choker is $6, wand $10, tiara $12. And the pictured dress has a petticoat under it to give it shape that costs at least $30! Yikes. Wish we had BJ's in Missouri! I do so want to spoil this little one for her first Halloween with us. Last year her mother put a black t-shirt on her, told her she was a witch and had her trick or treat at the drug treatment center (yep, that's where they lived together). She told me she really wanted to be a princess but her momma told her there were no costumes at the store. Now that we're her legal guardians her grandpa and I want to make this Halloween more normal and fun for her.

Any suggestions for a slightly cheaper way to do it?

Isabella can't wear anything with "lots of itchies" as she calls it. Anything with a tag drives her crazy. She even has problems with things with slightly rough seams. She wears all cotton when I can find it. The princess dresses at the DS are just "too scratchy", she loves the way they look but she can't stand to have them next to her skin. Do the dresses you've found have softer fabric or are they all likely to make her miserable?

crazyforgoofy someone said that they had them at Costco too. They might not be the exact same ones but in the past I have seen really nice ones there too. Do you have a Costco near you? These seem like they would be great for your granddaughter since the lining is made of stiffening not net. It is softer especially if your child has sensory integration issues. I bet you have a Sam's near you(I mean there must be no state in the Union without some sort of Wal Mart/Sams) you might be able to call and tell them what it is you want and they might be bringing it in. Since my husband used to be a buyer for a large chain I Know that a simple call to the main office of a company and a chat with the buyer will get you just bout anything you want. Depending on the company, they count your call as representing between 500 and 1000 people! Good Luck!

Still haven't found......
But I did find a nice alternative to those plastic "glass" slippers. Target has Mary-Jane type shoes, that are covered in white-clear irridescent glitter. Think Dorothy form Wizard of Oz, only not red. Too cute and only 12.99!
