~Belle 2003~'s Mum needs a few more prayers

Belle's mum has been having some complications following her surgery. She and Belle both need your good thoughts and prayers, please. Here are some of the complications that Belle pm'd me:

Just to give you a brief rundown:
She cannot sip water as it makes her retch.
She has a chest infection and vomits flem approx every 15 minutes.
She is coughing and obviously this is pulling on her wound.
Her feed tube is not working as a tube inside her is blocked. They cannot do anything about it at present as she is too ill and would need sedating.
She finds it hard to stay out of bed, they want her to sit in her chair then take a short walk everyday but she has only managed this once.
She is having nightmares and hallucinating (morphine)
She feels sick everyday and most of the time has a headache.
She is on anti biotics and we pray that they get rid of her infection.

Thanks Shannon.

Just talked to the hospital. The latest is Mum is still very poorly, she seems to be going downhill everyday. They have given her a nebuliser to help her breathing. The staff nurse is concerned that her bowels are not working properly either.

No good news and we are all extremely worried.

Continuing to keep your mum in my prayers, Belle. Recovery from major surgery for an older person is a long slow process with ups and downs. The human body is amazingly resilient to what we throw at it.
