This reveiw is a bit belated but I thought I would go ahead and post my experience. These dates back to May of 2007

On our first visit to DW together to clebrate our belated honey mood my YB and I had a character dinner at Chef Mickey on the recomendation of a friend and since then we always have a character dinner. I can honestly say I never see her smile and laugh so much as when we do character dinners. In May of 2007 during our stay we were unable to get a reservation at Chef Mickey for my YB's traditional character dinner but we were able to get into Liberty Tree Tavern.
We had previously eaten at Liberty Tree several times for lunch and were satisfied with the fare so we thought it would be safe and we have never had BAD food at DW.

Liberty Tree Tavern is located in the Liberty Square area of the Magic Kingdome. we took the Disney bus from AKL to Magic Kingdom and then hiked the rest of the way.
The Dinner itself is priced at $27.99 or so per adult. I think that is expensive, but that is what you pay for a character dinner. The cost includes drinks and desert.
The Character Dinner is served Family style with Plates and Bowles of food laid out on table and the family serves itself. In the same manner that one might do at a traditional sit down family meal except to 1 big differance. MOM gets to eat her dinner with the rest of the family and doesn't have to run back and forth to the kitchen.
The food served consited of,
tossed mixed salad greens, served with a vinaigrette dressing.
Platters and bowls of roasted turkey breast, carved beef, and ham, with mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, bread stuffing, and macaroni & cheese.
Dessert was choice of Pie, cake, or cobler fresh from the kitchen.
For Beverages we had Diet Coke and Tea but many other choices are offered including Milk, Coffe and Cocoa.
Fresh baked roles and butter or margarine were served.
The food was served hot and the portions were large. When one platter or bowl was empty another was brought to the table without having to request it. Acutally we had to ask the server to stop bringing food or we might hurt our selves.
I thought the quality and tast of the Food was quite good. The beef was well flavored and tender, potatoes were well good and of a traditional consistancy with just a touch of skin, the ham was tender, and the turkey was fairly juicy.
My YB is fairly pickey and concentrated on the turkey, potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. She was very happy with the food and has always liked the DW Mac and Cheese.
The characters were plentiful and playfull with Mickey being absent. However Goofy was there and since he is my YB's favorite all was good.
All in all if it was up to me we would go back to Liberty Tree Tavern for our next Character Dinner.

Thanks for the review, this was the only one of my ADR's that I wasn't too sure about. Sounds like it will be perfect for us.

Thank you.
I really enjoyed for the Character dinner and thought it was good for lunch as well.

Thanks for the review. we loved LTT last year and we are doing it again this year as it was my dd fave.:)

I went to Liberty Tree tavern last september. Food was horrid, dry and tastless. I suppose the highpoint was stoufer's frozen pre-packed mac&cheese if you can call that a compliment.

I really enjoyed LTT during my trip last year, so I have an ADR there for my upcoming trip. I really hope that Mickey will be there this time.

Mickey doesn't come to LTT, it is only Minnie and friends.

Thanks for the info. No wonder Mickey never showed up the entire time I was there last year... I did, however, see him at Chef Mickey's, Epcot, DHS and MK and AK so it was all good. I got lots of one-on-one time with Mickey.
