Beirgarten in Epcot, seating question...

Hi. We'll be a party of 6 dining there for a late lunch.. do you think it is likely that we can have the table just for us 6 (not have a party of 2 seated with us)? It's just because it's a special occassion (I'll just have been married!) and i want it to be just the family, not two strangers. I called Disney and they said i could request it at check-in. It'll be during Holiday time. Any suggestions?

You could request when you get there, but the policy is to seat separate parties at the same table.

I'd ask. We were there last year the first week of Dec w/ a party of 7 and had a couple seated with us. They were really nice - celebrating their anniversary. They were an older couple and one of them was a cast member. I felt bad for them, having to sit with the two crazy boys we had with with us.

I would ask but it will depend on how busy the restaurant is when you are there. We went with six of us (4 adults and 2 kids) and they sat two women with us. They were quiet but nice.

There are a few tables that seat 6 people. You could wait for one of them to open up. But it could be a long wait for a whole table to open.

We were just there 2 weeks ago. Me, My husband, 2 boys, and my dad and we got to sit alone. We didn't even request it. Good luck!!

I would definately ask them at check-in and also let them know that you are concerned that the prospective extra two guests might feel uncomfortable since you are celebrating your wedding. It might be worth it for you to wait a few minutes for a table if they ask.

I know, for me, I would feel uncomfortable on both sides of the fence-having two strangers join my very special occassion that I'd prefer to be amongst loved ones and I would feel uncomfortable being those extra two guests. Like I was intruding or something.

My guess is they will be understanding of this & give you guys your own table.

As an aside, what a great idea for a wedding reception! We are thinking about the Garden View Tea Lounge at the GF, but the Biergarten is a cool idea!!

I hope your request is met and that you and your family can sit alone, but if you can't please be extra nice to the other couple. Its really hard for some people to join a table with others and you wouldn't want them to feel totally uncomfortable

Request it at check in and then see what happens.

We're two people and have dined several times at the Biergarten (usually late lunch too). If we were at the table with you, all you would have to do with us is tell us about your celebration and we'd respect that. Something like "we're celebrating our recent wedding". But not something like "hey, we want you to be quiet down there so we can have our celebration alone".

But if you got a special dessert or something, you could offer to share with us.
