We've been to beirgarten many times but never easter week. In MDE when making an ADR it lists the price as $30-$59.99. Could it really be $60 per adult? That seems really high for that restaurant even at easter. allearsnet lists it as $38

Anyone know if this price is right? While we like the restaurant can't see paying over $200 for 2 adults and 2 kids to eat there.

Thx

:thumbsup2as per The rusty Scrapper in the sticky on the front. Looks like approx. $42 per adult and 22 for kids.
Not too bad.
Check out the sticky page one, it has all the buffets on it, and fairly accurate.
:thumbsup2

When it says $30-$59, that's a range for adult meals, not the child's price and adult price. Per the excellent "Rusty Scupper Thread", noted above, Biergarten is currently $37.99 plus tax and tip---or right what AllEars says. $38 is between $30 and $59, so technically MDE is correct. The Disney Kid price (ages 3-9) is $19.99. So, two adults plus two kids with tax and an 18% tip will be about $145 give or take.

For what it's worth, we ate here for a Candlelight Processional dinner this past December. Even with the Disney Visa discount, it ran us a little north of $250 (tax and tip included) for four "Disney Adults" but was still a fine meal.

I understand that 38 is between 30-60. We have eaten there many times and don't remember exact price but was mid 30's for adults. CP is more expensive then normal price of dinner. We have done that in the past at R&C and cost is more than what dinner costs. You so paying for priority seating as well.

But if disney never charged $59.99 for an adult then it wouldn't be listed correct. I know they have seasonal rates but alway thought that was a few dollars more not almost double.

That's the price of a "meal", not just the price of the buffet. They have some added-cost drinks available that figure into the price range.

Those are just the price ranges that Disney uses to filter restaurant results. $$$- $30-59.99 doesn't mean that a meal will necessarily cost $59.99 ever but that the price of the meal falls within that range.

You might also consider eating there for lunch. The price for us last week was in the mid-$20's rather than $30's (which it would have been for dinner). Not sure if buffet expands a bit at dinner with any extra items, but there was more than enough available for lunch that we didn't really feel like we were missing anything (after having eaten dinner there last summer). Soft drink or tea is also included in the price.

Agree with the lunch. The band is there, I think the buffet is shortened by one or two offerings from dinner but the atmosphere is just the same.

If going with the lunch option, you may want to check times on the band. Seems like I saw a sign while we were there last week that the first show started at 1:15. We ate later than that, so it wasn't an issue, but I'd be disappointed if we were there and didn't get to hear the band.

I remember one thing from our dinner experience that wasn't on the lunch menu -- i.e., the beef roulades (or something like that). Probably was my favorite item, so I was a little disappointed, but I'm not even sure if that is something that is always there. Even so, there were some meatballs available at lunch that were pretty incredible, so again, we were certainly not suffering from a lack of food. The whole family would be happy if all they had was macaroni and cheese!

Sorry to hijack the post - I am a vegetarian and was wondering if it would be worth the money for me?

It's actually the range they post on adult meals for all similar restaurants, those that get a certain number of dollar signs. They are not the actual prices for the individual restaurant. That may actually include the price for high end fixed price places like CRT. Biergarten is never $60, not even at the highest peak pricing.

I'm not a vegetarian but don't like the heavy meats and the last time I was there, I had two full plates. OK - one plate was the desserts........

I think you will be fine.

I'm not vegetarian, but my favorite things at Biergarten are the Mac and cheese and the potato balls.

This was still a must-do for me when I was a vegetarian. The salad bar is really good - the tomato salad is amazing - and the mac-n-cheese and potato dumplings are killer, as well. As well as the desserts. We love the kraut, as well. There is also a cheese board that I am a bit obsessed with

There is quite the variety.

Even now, I don't eat sausage, so I rarely get meat there, and I always leave full.

It all reminds me of my (VERY German) Grandparents...all tastes as I remember it, and the atmosphere is super homey to me. Which is why I love the place. The food and the beer being excellent are just plusses ;)

Is there anything 'fresh' on the Biergarten buffet-- as in fresh fruit or veg? i have an adr there but am getting cold feet bc in every pic from there, the whole plate is brown. only Meat, potatoes, bread and gravy in every pic. seriously
