So, I totally realize that there are probably tons of people who have already thought of and done this, but I haven't read about it anywhere here, so I am all proud of myself for thinking of this.

I am sitting here prepping labels to send postcards to my nieces and nephews when we are in California. It occurred to me that it would be really fun for DD4 to get a postcard from one of her fave characters when we get home, saying something like "we're so glad that you came to visit us and we miss you," etc. Super-easy logistically, too. She is pretty observant, so I will just make sure she doesn't see the card when we are there, and pop it into the mailbox right before we leave. Or, when we leave DLR (we are going to be in cali for about a week before and a week after we leave) so it will be at our PO when we get home.:thumbsup2

I did this as well last year for my son...he loved getting a postcard from Mickey when he got home. Kinda like bringing some magic home. :):wizard:

I do this for myself when I leave the park! I mail a postcard to my work address on my last day and then I have nice little surprise at work when get back to the real world!:thumbsup2

Such a simple idea....thanks for sharing it. Last year once we returned from our trip to WDW, my DD7's teacher had her share the postcard she'd sent to the class....revisited the magic for her!!!:princess:
