On Wednesday, March 2 at 10 a.m. (sign-in at 9:30 a.m.) Disney Entertainment Productions begins looking for a sparkling female performer to embody the spirit of Tinker Bell. Soaring high above Disneyland, she ignites the new, nightly fireworks spectacular in celebration of Disneyland's 50th Anniversary.
Those auditioning should be trained aerialists, comfortable at heights over 100 feet, with the talent to move gracefully and the strength to hold a pose while suspended in air.
Height: 5'-5'4"; weight: 100-125 lbs. (All talent will be measured and weighed at sign-in) Auditons take place at The Disneyland Resort, 700 W. Ball Rd. Anaheim, CA 92802. Come to Visitor Parking located off Ball Road and Cast Place, check-in at Security Office and have a valid photo ID. Bring a headshot and resume, dress appropriately for extensive movement and you must be at least 18 years of age to audition. Entertainers for this show are covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA). If you are not a current member of AGVA, you will be required to join the union.
Hi Courtney.
Here's the casting call that Disneyland put out for their Tinker Bell back in 2005. I'd bet that it would be pretty much what they'd be looking for at Disney World, too.
Are you planning to audition some day?![]()
Yes! I don’t know where to find the auditions though? Like when and where they are held at? What website do we find them on?Hi Courtney.

Interesting how the requirements have changed. I remember back in the day when Tink often looked like this:

One time, we were watching from Tomorrowland Terrace and got a great view of Tink's mustache!
No. Stop it. Never would happen. They might use a man, but never with a mustache. That's completely ridiculous. One time, we were watching from Tomorrowland Terrace and got a great view of Tink's mustache!
They probably used men because you want to be able to see it from a distance. Men are bigger, made sense.No. Stop it. Never would happen. They might use a man, but never with a mustache. That's completely ridiculous.
Maybe in 1527 it could have happened when women weren't allowed to play Tinkerbell, but not after that.

But now that cameras are getting better and cheaper. Everyone has a superzoom to bring Tinkerbell closer.
Several have had a stache. It is not as unheard of as you think. The Disboards and other websites have shown the proof. Have done several backstage tours. They were very candid about using men of a certain height and weight so that they could pull themselves along the line in the event of a malfunction and also have enough weight to "zip" across. They hire on qualifications, not appearance for that role.No. Stop it. Never would happen. They might use a man, but never with a mustache. That's completely ridiculous.

We were told during our Backstage Magic tour back in 2005 that Tinkerbell was most typically a male gymnast. Something about the strength needed to climb to the last part of the take-off area.No. Stop it. Never would happen. They might use a man, but never with a mustache. That's completely ridiculous.
