Being made a Saint TWICE deserves a trip to Mickey's House! PTR Update pg.12 06/06!!!

We continued that morning around the same path around Fantasyland and Tomorrowland for Fastpasses and rides. Thanks to Tom’s FP Mastery, we rode everything MANY times throughout the morning…bumping into some of our other favorite folks along the way!

We had a really special treat while in Monsters, Inc.—Tom was chosen to be “THAT Guy,” which was so fun to watch! He hammed it up REALLY well too since he knew how often he would be spotlighted! I wish I had it on tape, but it was really great!
Once we finished with FL and TL, we headed over to Adventureland, Frontierland, and Liberty Square to once again work our way around the worlds hitting everything as we went. We were having such a fun day, I didn’t take many pictures…just enjoyed our time together. Here are some of the few shots I did manage to snap. I so LOVE my princess turned pirate!!! AARGH!!!!!!

It was a strange day—it rained off and on—but we never seemed to get caught in it. We decided to have a late lunch at Columbia Harbor House. (Chicken Nuggets for Tom and Me and Mac & Cheese for Megs). We decided to ride a few more rides, but then we saw black clouds forming, so we decided it would be best to head back to AKL.

It was quite the storm that rolled through, so it was SUCH a good decision on our part. While there, we decided to order a pizza from Pizza Hut for dinner. IT WAS FANTASTIC!!!
We headed back to MK around 8:45pm when the storms passed, and walked right in to see the MSEP!!! We were having a WONDERFUL time…

We had quite the stack of left-over FPs, so we stayed and used them all to ride until 1am! We hit Jungle Cruise in the dark, POTC, HM, BTMRR, Splash, Dumbo---so MUCH fun!

At 1am, we headed back “home” to AKL…with a sleeping beauty in our arms!!! It was SUCH a great day!

WOW, you sure have been busy. All of that made my head spin. I can't even imagine how it make you all feel :rotfl:

Congrats to Megan on making the Christmas Ballet:goodvibes

Love the update. She looks so cute in her Snow White dress. Great pics with princesses

It surely has been quite the ride lately...I can't believe we have made it through all of that too!!! :rotfl:

Megan is QUITE excited about the Christmas Ballet! They can't audition until they are 8, so this was her first attempt, and she was BEYOND thrilled that she made it!!! We were too!

We surely did accomplish quite a lot that day...it was our last day on our own, so I think we tried to soak up as much as we could since it was just the three of us!

what a fun day!! I sooo wanted my DH to be "that guy"! He would really ham it up too. TOo bad we don't get to see any video of Tom being that guy! I bet he had a blast.

Congrats to Megan on making the Christmas ballet. They must do a lot of preparation because wow that is far away! LOL

Don't you just love how life gets in the way of fun? I'm happy that you survived it all. Congratulations to Megan on her Christmas ballet spot. I'm sure she will have a blast performing.
I'm looking forward to staying until 1 a.m. on this trip, but hopefully I won't be carrying my 12 out of the park. :rotfl:She, on the other hand, might be carrying ME! :lmao:

Yeay for being finished with school for now, Jen! Now the planning better go into high gear!!!

I spy the Hidden Megan! What a cute picture of her and the castle. Almost as cute as the picture of her with Snow White! :goodvibes Is Snow still her favorite?

He had a great time...what was funny was to watch Megan's reaction everytime it flipped over to Tom. She was sitting right next to him, and would laugh so hard she could barely breathe! I wish they would let you video in there for just a little bit so you could capture memories like that!

I will pass on your congrats to Megs! They do alot of work for it all summer and through the fall, but the hard work pays off! The show will be phenomenal! She was so excited to make it her first year trying out!

:rotfl2::lmao: That last line cracked me up!! She is wanting to stay late again this year...she really loves WDW at night, so we shall just see! Later in the trip from July, it was our last night before we were all leaving the next day, and Megan and Laila decided that they wanted to stay until the park closed....at 3am!!! I won't leave you in suspense...we made it somehow--the girls were skipping and dancing through the park, Tom and Allen decided to eat their way through with lots of snacks to stay awake, and Nicole and I just laughed the whole way! It was so funny!

Yeay for being finished with school for now, Jen! Now the planning better go into high gear!!!

Yeah to you too for being out of school!!! I was finished with students on May 15th (I still honestly can NOT believe that), but since I am an 8th grade teacher, the graduation plans kicked into high gear for the next few days. I don't think I have ever been so worn out by a school year! We had NO snow days this year, so I think NOT having that mental break in January and February took its toll on all of us! :lmao: Both the teachers and the students were going a little loco at the end!

I think I have done so little planning lately that I am almost getting scared/panicky about it! Today, I am pulling out all the suitcases we have that I think fit the carry-on requirements and measuring them. I literally think I can get all our stuff in the six things we can take on to the plane (3 rolling suitcases and 3 other carry-on bags/backpacks). I am seriously thinking about shipping our toiletry items in a flat-rate box down to WDW.

Isn't the Hidden Megan picture cute! Tom took that of her...told her to stand by the castle--I had no idea how he was taking it. We love that! Snow White is STILL her very favorite character!!! Last year we had LOTS of tears when she went on Snow's Scary Adventure for the last time. We were hopeful it would still be open for this trip, but alas, they are closing it down on May 31st!

There were no snow days for us, either, this year. We were ready for summer, but it does seem weird being out so early. This is the earliest we have been out, too.

That's not a bad idea to ship toiletries down.

I am very sad about Snow's Scary Adventures being closed, too. I don't like when they close those original attractions. :(

We finally finished up with school this past Thursday and it still hasn't sunk in that I don't have to go back on Tuesday. I'm still getting my room put together since I moved over to the other side of our shared space.

So happy that Megan got a part in the Christmas ballet! That is something to be really excited about!

I can't believe how much you got done on your rope drop MK day!

I wonder how late you will stay on your first day this trip???

I have MIA lately on the DIS. Wow, you are getting so close!!!

You got a lot done in those days at MK. Megan is adorable in her Snow White dress.

So glad you are finally out, but moving is always a headache!!! I hope things are better for you now!

Megan is QUITE excited about the Christmas ballet opportunity! It will be a busy fall, but I know it will be all worth it in the end!

We moved quite quickly around the park that day...even in July! I know Tom's FP strategy is to thank for that. He has already made a complaint about the new FP system...and we aren't even there yet...so I am hoping we are pleasantly surprised that it won't be as much of a headache as we are anticipating!

The first day should be interesting...especially since we are flying down in the morning. With Tom's motion sickness issues, we are doping him up with a double dose of the non-drowsy Dramamine, and packing LOTS of Starburst for him to chew. We are praying that will get him to WDW without any adverse side effects! If he is not feeling well, Megs and I might have to fly solo while he sleeps it off! Keeping fingers crossed!!!

I KNOW!!! Yesterday marked just 2 WEEKS OUT!!! EEEKKKKK!!! It is almost too soon! I am so unprepared for this trip! It scares me quite a bit!!! MUST GET FOCUSED!

Thanks--we love when she dresses up too!!! She has opted not to take any costumes this year...I think I might miss it just a bit!

Yesterday was the official "TWO WEEKS TO GO" mark, and frankly, instead of making me happy--:banana:--it has made me a little stressed--:scared1::scared1:!!! I feel so unprepared for this trip...not sure why exactly, but I just do!

I think I have had just so little time to devote to getting ready for the trip lately that it is probably making me worry unnecessarily about it all. We decided last Friday to take a spontaneous weekend trip up to Pittsburgh--take in some of that area's family fun and go to a Reds' game at PNC park. It was a fun little get away for the three of us, and has made Megan even that much more excited about this trip coming up--she just LOVES vacations! :rotfl: We enjoyed ourselves--relaxed at the pool, tried some new Pittsburgh eateries, and spent a beautiful Memorial Day at the ballpark. The biggest highlight of the trip for me was at the game. My favorite Reds' player of all-time is Sean Casey. He is a class act...so kind and friendly. I have met him in the past, and he has always been so nice. On Monday, I decided to wear my old Casey jersey to the game since he was originally from Pittsburgh--never intending on seeing him there. We bought tickets right behind the Reds' dugout so Megan could see some of her favorites come in and out throughout the game. To my GREAT surprise, when we got down to our seats, there was someone in the dugout signing items and tossing them back up to the Reds' fans who were waiting there. IT WAS SEAN CASEY!!! I quickly took off my jersey, and Tom held it up to ask if he would sign it. Seeing that it was a Casey jersey, he smiled REALLY big and took it right away to sign. He was so kind and couldn't believe that I still wore it. I don't know if I ever will again though--I think that one is going up in a frame for Tom's Man Cave! It was a great trip!!!

BUT...it took up an entire weekend that we probably should have used to get ready for the trip. So, now I have some catching up to do! The Pittsburgh trip did help me out in some respects though for our trip--it made me realize that I DO actually need to do some shopping for me before we leave. Like I have mentioned before, I have lost around 30lbs. since our last trip, and I forgot that would make quite a difference in the way clothes fit. I have shorts and capris that are too big--I can pull them off and on without unbuttoning them! Several of my shirts are too big now too....SO I have some shopping to do! I am hoping to get a start on that today...wish me luck!

We still need to invest in a new camera--after this weekend's trip, and our old one failing on us one too many times, Tom realizes that this is inevitable. BUT, now he has joined in the search. I was hoping to just pick up some easy point and shoot that would slip nicely into a mini-hipster, but he has found a camera that he LOVES, and I know we will end up buying since it is a much better quality camera than the others I was investigating.

3098129_sa.jpg;canvasHeight=280;canvasWidth=280

It is a Canon PowerShot SX40, and it gets GREAT reviews...it will do both pictures and HD video. I know it will take great shots and excellent video, but it is much bigger and bulkier than the ones I was going to buy, so NOW I think I am going to have to go back to getting a Hipster. There is nothing wrong with the Hipster--but I was so looking forward to carrying around the much smaller mini-hipster this year. OH WELL!!! After carrying around my old Vera backsack this weekend, I was reminded once again why I do NOT want to use it this trip--it gets my back way too hot and sweaty! So once the camera purchase is made, I will be following it up with my Vera purchase.

13 days and counting....let's just hope I get my act together in time!!! :lmao:

We hit the Cincy Zoo Sunday!!! It was unbearable hot even in the shade. Glad you had fun in Pittsburgh and how cool about Casey!!

We got a new camera similiar to the one you posted. I  it. It takes the best pictures and does all the work for me. :thumbsup2

:banana:Yay for 13 days!

Sounds like a fun weekend you had a ball field. :goodvibes

Congrats on your weight loss. Have fun shopping :yay:

wow what an awesome weekend and baseball game!

I'm sure you will have everything done in time for the trip. How sad that Megan doesn't want any costumes....perhaps she'll change her mind?

I can imagine how hot it was on Sunday at the zoo...it was that hot up in Pittsburgh too--yucky!!!

I know the camera will take great pictures and video, just bummed about the size of it!!! Now I am going to have to carry a bigger bag! Oh WELL!

Thanks for the happy dancing!!! :dance3::dance3: Getting quite excited!

Sounds like a fun weekend you had a ball field. :goodvibes

Congrats on your weight loss. Have fun shopping :yay:

We had such a nice weekend! It was so fun just to get away from the normal daily grind for a bit! Thanks for the congrats on the weight loss...hoping for much more! Shopping was okay...didn't find everything I wanted, but will keep trying! :)

wow what an awesome weekend and baseball game!

It was a great trip! So fun to sneak away before our big trip! I know it will all get finished too, just feels so overwhelming at the time going through it all! Megan said she didn't want to pack a costume because we weren't eating at CRT...we shall see what happens when that time comes!

WOW 13 days are going FLY! We're at 35 and they feel like they are flying as well!

YAY for a fun weekend get away! How awesome for you to meet your Red's guy. I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't wash the shirt either! I would be afraid the marker would fade or wash out.
Congrats on the weight loss. I lost about 27 last year and gained about 10 back. It's amazing how much 10 lbs feels like in my pants. I need to get this big rumpus back in gear and get the weight off. Have fun shopping!!!
I think that you will like the hipster. I know it's not the mini, but it will be a lot less hot than your backpack. I just ordered a new mini last night. They are on sale online for $29, plus shipping is only $5! BONUS. You will have to post a pic of the one you get.

Jen, before you order your bag, take a look at Lesportsac's Small World line. They have the Kacey, it looks like the perfect size, between the hipster and mini, I have it in my shopping cart ready to purchase!

Yay for your baseball game! We are flying to Boston a week after we get home from Florida to see Baylor and my Red Sox play at Fenway. This year is the 100th anniversary for the ballpark and we are so excited to get to go!!

Hey Jen, I know you were worried about your Magical Express packet showing up on time, did it? We got ours yesterday at the 35:banana: day mark so I'm hoping yours has shown up as well!
