Being Damp

@JanaDee I am not planning... it was just a maybe. Thus the impromptu - she may not even want to play in the fountains this year, thus the question would the buses take you if you were damp. She is 9 now and too cool for most things, so I am guessing that fountain jumping won't be on her list of priorities. However, that said, she does love Disney.

At the age of nine, if she gets wet or "damp" because of the fountains, why would she need to be changed right away? We all get wet at some point in the day unless we don't shower or bathe. So, a person has clothes on if running through a fountain. Clothes dry and it's clean water.

I was just reading an article about impromptu activities at WDW and one that came up were the fountains at both Downtown Disney and Epcot - usually my DD begs to go in them and I hurry her along. But upon reading the article I realised that I was turning into my mother and that just won't do.

So - my question is, DD goes off to play in the fountains, and will subsequently get wet.

How do we get back to the hotel? Will the bus take you if you're damp? (obviously I'd dry her off as much as I possibly could?) Could I make her stand the entire way, or perch on my knee so she doesn't make the seat damp?

Help... it's causing me stress. Lol

Well, you can lug around extra clothes, just in case. Or you can be dumb like I was when we visited Uni and kids went into the Curious George water area, and I wound up buying some overpriced t-shirts and shorts at the closest merchandise shop. If you've already budgeted for souvenirs, you can just do this.

P.s. I'm assuming you're not planning on going straight home after the water play. If you time it right, you can just head back to the resort wet. Just make sure your kids are not getting the other guests wet at the bus.

put the change of clothes in a locker if you do not want to carry it. also if you are wet the last row in the bus is not as cold as the rest of it!
