Does anyone know if they do anything special if you visit on your birthday? And what if it's your 2 year old? TIA

Well I know that every theme park will give you a birthday button. You get that at guest services. And because your child is young they might do special things for you. Sometimes they will even take you to the front of the line, not always but if the CM is nice they will.

I'm not sure how many CMs know about it, but they can call a special extension on house phones that will play a birthday greeting from Goofy. (Or it may have been that only one CM did this for my birthday girl because she was older than the average birthday button-wearer - i.e., turning 28...)

On my nieces 3rd birthday she got the birthday button and the CM asked what her favorite ride was. She was given a pass for all of us to ride Dumbo all day long without waiting on the line. We thought that was really nice.

Wow! all those amazing stories!! We are gonna be at MK on our twins b-day January 4th, starting the day with breakfast at the castle, a full day in the park, and having dinner at Chef Mickey's!!! Should be a great b-day for our girls!! :cake: :thewave:

My daughter got special waves and "Happy Birthdays" from characters during the Share a Dream parade. She couldn't believe it. Also, this sweet boy came across the street while we were waiting on the parade to start and handed her a wrapped birthday present and walked off. We opened it and it was a Disney pin that had Happy Birthday on it. I was in awe of the Disney magic and tracked the family down after the parade to thank them (and get the full story on why they did it!) The mom said that someone had done that for the son on his birthday several years ago and they always did it when they were there. We were the fortunate recipients!! Very special!!

I was just there for my 50th! My frineds insisted that I wear the HAPPY BIRTHDAY button to every park...got lots of HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes, a big bouquet of balloons and a "signed" picture of Mickey delivered to my room at OKW (we are DVC members), a special birthday certificate at OKW front desk, and a free dessert at the Magic Kingdom at one of the counter service places we stopped at for dinner. Wonderful trip and i am sure would be even more magical for a birthday CHILD!

I will be in the Magic Kingdom on my Birthday. I will be wearing a shirt with Flower the Skunk on it that says " It's my Birthday " Flower will be in his cute embarrassed look on this shirt and I will be embarrassed because I am so shy and because I will be wearing this shirt * Blushes *

I will be doing a character Dinner for my birthday at the 1900 Park Fair. I want a character Birthday Dinner with Suzy and Perla ( the 2 female mice from Cinderella ) > I will wear my birthday shirt all day and I should get a lot of attention. I will have fun looking all cute and embarrassed :) I just love being shy :) You see I am just a little child even though I am a 6 foot 3 male he he

Our experience is the CM's are great with kids on their birthdays. We stop and get a button and it seems that everyone notices. Now when DW goes and gets one, the responses aren't as plentiful. If you are having a sit-down meal at one of the character places, make sure you tell them and they may do something extra for you there as well.

We were there when DD turned 5. I mentioned it was her birthday when I made ressies -that was it. When we arrived at AS Sports there was an autographed 8x10 photo of Minnie and a balloon bouquet waiting on the bed. Needless to say we were very moved. At MK DD wore a birthday button that we got at Guest Services. CMs and characters were very attentive to her all day (although no FOTL, but I'm not complaining). We had a late breakfast at CRT and received extra special treatment there as well.

We were just at WDW for DD's 2nd birthday. DD would not keep her pin on. I'd put it on her, next thing you know, I look, its off. We had a couple CM's wish her Happy Birthday, but her pin was off 90% of the time. Because eventually I said, just forget it. :) We'll be on DCL next year for her 3rd birthday. Then a visit to the park, hopefully she'll keep her pin on. But they did treat her real nice at her birthday dinner at Chef Mickeys.

DH and I just came back from WDW for my 40th birthday also and the CM's were great. We walked past this 1 CM it seemed 10 times at the people mover and he sang to me everytime. Another CM at BTMR, said Happy Birthday and said, Don't forget 21 is a big responsibility. :) We also went to the ESPN club to watch the Steeler Green Bay game and the waitress brought me out a chocolate cake and ice cream. YUMM!! Enjoy your trip and Happy Birthday to your child.

I'll be spending my 40th birthday in MK! Not expecting anything special. Just being there and eating in the castle on my birthday will be special enough!

My dd wore the button at MK on her 8th birthday. She received a few Happy Birthday wishes from CM's and other guests, and also got the phone call from Goofy wishing her a Happy Birthday while we were in one store.

I think it all depends on which CM happens to notice the button, how many other buttons he's already seen that day, and what he's in the mood to do for you. Please don't expect anything really special (like ride passes, etc), because you might end up disappointed if it doesn't occur.

To me, just being in the MK on a birthday is special enough. You'll have a great time!
