My family loved the beignets we used to be able to get at POFQ...now that this resort is closed for renovations, is there anywhere else on WDW property that you can get beignets, especially at breakfast meals? Thanks for any suggestions!

They have them at POR. As far as I know it's the only place.

What are beignets?? I've seen people write about them, but I curious what they are.

We will be staying at POR in December, so if they sound good, I might make the effort to get some.

Thanks,
Katie

Wow! My mom lives for those things! They're fried dough with powdered sugar - a kind of fluffy donut, without being a donut, but not as heavy as a zeppole.

Contrary to popular belief, Beignets are NOT offered at PO-R. Unfortunately, PO-FQ is the only place on Disney property that offered them, and of course, they are closed for rehab.

Those beignets are definitely worth the wait (weight...lol)!:p

which was May 2002 but I am staying there next week and will see if they are still there. I know they had them though because i think my husband must have had them three or four times while we were there. :)

Forget POFQ. They are like dead lumps of dough. YUCK. Go to New Orleans to Cafe Du Monde. Now those beignets, they are heavenly.

I made a special stop at PO-R one morning a couple of weeks ago on my way to work to have beignets for breakfast, when I asked the manager of the food court said that the only place that served them was PO-FQ. So, even if PO-R served them in the past, they no longer do.

Sorry:(
