My group wants to do the Behind the seeds tour. I was all for it till I saw it is an hour walking with a tour guide through Disney Hot houses. I have a problem with heat and high humidity. Has anyone with the same issues found this to be uncomfortable? Is there any air flow? Are you allowed to carry a water bottle or other drink with you? TIA

We did this during our trip in early June! Here's a link to my trip report from that day. I'm really glad we did it. I'll try to answer your questions:

- I don't think the "hot houses" are any hotter than the summer weather outside! They're more weather-controlled houses than hot houses I think and there are some points where you are in the AC. If you are sensitive to that, I'd make sure to have one of those cool mister fans or something with you (handy anyway in the parks) and bring a water bottle should be fine. We had ours every day, all day long.

There is air flow and in certain places there are these walls of swamp coolers that they guide will point out, it's cooler right there.

Let me know if you have any questions or you want to see more pics! :)

The air would be similar to the parts of Living With the Land ride (if you have ridden it in the past) when you are in the growing areas. Much of the tour is in that area.

If you take the tour, don't forget the discounts....AP, DVC and Disney Visa, 15%.

My DH was too hot and couldn't wait for the tour to be over. He said that they should've paid him to take it!

I took this tour in July I believe and it was not that warm! Some of the greenhouse can be a little hot, but there are fans and you can bring some water with you. I also recommend a wet washcloth or one of those ChillyPad things that can keep you cool, or even a small personal fan! Whatever makes you comfortable! The tour is amazing! Don't miss it!

We didn't have any issues at all. Our DD has an issue with over heating easily & she was fine. It was a nice tour.

We did this tour last Aug. and really enjoyed it. Yes, the greenhouses aren't air conditioned, but it was certainly much cooler than being outside!! We did have our water bottles with us and there was no problem with it. They gave us samples of the cucumbers to try, and they were very refreshing! They did give you a chance to sit on benches at one point, so that gave you a couple of minutes off your feet.
