So...I am thinking about adding this to our ALL Day EPCOT Day on July 4th....any thoughts on this tour?

It would be for myself, DH, DD(3) & DS(8)...read some reviews on allears, alot of positive feedback for it!

TIA! :goodvibes

My wife and I have taken it twice, so I guess you could say we like it. Each guide is different so each tour is different. Usually, the kids will get to release some ladybugs or other GOOD insects and feed the fish. It's also fun to watch the people passing by on the boats.

Go for it and have fun.

We went on it last year and we all enjoyed it, but younger dd (7) got bored toward the end. Nothing new there, we figured she would, she just isn't into that kind of stuff. Older dd (9), dh and I all had a good time.

DH and I took my parents since my dad is into gardening, my mom's a teacher and DH loves bugs. Everyone loved the tour. We got to eat some cucumbers and they were quite good.

My kids really enjoyed it and it eased my guilt a little for taking them out of school. If you do this don't bother going on The Land attraction, you will see it all our your tour close up. If you have a Disney Visa card they discount the tour.

Good post. I must admit I never considered taking this tour but would now consider ir. I have added it to my list of "Things I need to do a Disney.":cool1::banana:

Our boys (10 and 6) both enjoyed this tour too. The 6 yr old even decided he liked cucumbers after eating them on the tour! It would also be a really good, long, cool break on a hot, crowded, July 4th day. Have fun.

Oh, I almost forgot....Don't forget to look for the hidden mickeys while on the tour!!

Our Family is going to take the tour for the first time on our next
trip. We love the land ride. We're going to use our Visa for the discount.

We will be going in Value Season I'm not sure if
that makes a difference.

Does anyone know if you have to make Reservations in advance or can you just sign up when you're there?

Is this something you need to call ahead for or can you just go the day you are there?

We have done it a few times and love it! We just go up that morning and sign up for a time that day. We have also just walked up and gotten on the next one. If you have a time you really want go early that day. You do not have to call ahead.

DH and I really enjoyed it but we don't have children and the one child on our tour was about 8 and she was pretty bored.

You can make reservations in advance or do a walk up, either way. Most of the time this tour will not fill up and reservations would only be neccesary if you wanted a very specific time or are going during busy season. We already know when we will be at Epcot so we went ahead and made the reservations, the only down side is that there is a 48 hours cancellation policy so if we change our minds we would be out our money vs if we walked up same day we won't have to worry about losing any deposit.

You can reserve in advance at 407-WDW-TOUR or you can sign up the day of the tour right next to the entrance to Soarin'. Very often it is possible to just walk up and get on the next tour.

They start about every 45 minutes during the day.

Where can I find out more about this tour? My mom loves gardening and I think this would be perfect! Its her first trip and I want to make it memorable! How long does it last and if someone has never been to Epcot would you suggest taking the tour or doing Epcot? Thanks!

Thanks so much to everyone for the replies!! :thumbsup2
I will be adding this into our "to-do" list on July 4th as the plan is to stay at Epcot the whole day!

Officially the tour last "about 1¼ hours". However, I have seen it last up to about 1-3/4 hours; a lot depends both on the guide and the interest shown by or the questions asked by the Guests.
