Can someone tell me if that is W/C accessible and what it actually is? I have heard very little about it but I think it might be something we would enjoy doing. Any advice would be appreciated. :thanks:

It's one of my favorite tours(well really the only tour I've done). I've done this tour a few times using my manual wheelchair. It's 100% wheelchair accessible. I've never had any problems with this tour. I can't speak for an ECV on this tour though, there are a couple of corners that might be tight and I really have no idea on an ECVs turning radius.

The tour takes you behind the scenes of the Living With the Land ride. Your tour guide gives you a nice up close tour of all of the hydroponics, fish farms and various other things that you see from the boat. Questions are asked and answered. In my experiences the guides have been great. Also usually the tour is usually just a couple of families.

I don't always get to take this tour. But it's one of those things that I try to do every trip.

Thanks for the reply. Do I have to purchase this tour in advance if so where do I do that? Is this where they show you the mickey mouse shaped pumpkins as well???? :confused3

I've done it in my ECV. Of course it is a three-wheeler which is more maeuverable than the four-wheelers Disney rents.

I do not think you can reserve in advance through 407-WDW-TOUR but have to go to the desk (next to the Soarin' entrance) to sign up and pay, but it would not hurt to call.

We did this tour and loved it! I'm doing it again on our next trip. We decided to do it at the last minute and the tour started about 5 minutes after we got our tickets. It was just me, DH and DD. There were 2 other guys on the tour, but they were CM's that were going to be driving the LWTL boats. The tour guide was very cool, she told us a lot of back stage stuff as well as tour stuff. This is the tour with the Mickey pumpkins! It was also really cool to see the Tomato Tree from the other side. We were given Cinderella pumpkin seeds to take home and plant. I absolutely LOVED this tour, it was so interesting!! :yay:

We took this tour two weeks ago and enjoyed it. We used a manual wheelchair and had no problems at all. The guides are very good and make sure you get all your questions answered.

We got to eat Mickey shaped cucumbers! What fun. :thumbsup2

We had reserved our tour ahead of time but we ended up taking the tour an hour earlier since we were already at the desk after riding Soaring. We used our AAA membership to get a discount.

It was well worth the time and low cost.
