we are booked on the backstage safari at AK. has anyone taken this since the baby elephant has arrived? and if so, didya get to see him? thanks!

I was on the backstage safari not too long after Tufani was born(FEB)and at that time they did not let us into the elephant barn(this was normally part of the tour). We were told that Momma elephant was very protective and the crowd could cause too much disruption. I did however get to see him on the Safari we took as part of the tour. So with the new baby girl there now, it is possible you won't get to see her or go in the barn, but you could see the baby boy(Tufani)on the Safari.
