"Behind the Scene" tours?

I was wondering if anyone could give me any info, or point my in the right direction.

Are there different tours at different parks? How long do the usually last, how much, is there a maximum age? We have a 3 year old, and I am not sure if he would be allowed on one. I think I have read somewhere that there is a minimum age.

Also, if anyone could give me any info on the Segue tour at Epcot, I'd appreciate that.

I have done many of the backstage tours, and recommend them highly. However, none of the tours that actually go backstage allow anyone under 16. Can you imagine the trauma of a five-year-old, seeing Mickey backstage, holding his head under his arm?

There is a family magic tour, which I haven't done, which allows children. It is like a scavenger hunt, and sounds really fun. My husband and I are empty nesters, so I can't convince him to try a tour like this.

The Segway tour is one of my very favorites! I have done it several times, and although the information is similar every time, you actually get to DO something - play on the Segway - during the tour, making it an experience we can do over and over.

For backstage tours, my favorite was Backstage Magic. It is all day, and you get to go to three of the four major parks. However, for my first backstage tour, I would start with Keys to the Kingdom. It is just Magic Kingdom, and a very good tour. Unfortunately, we did Backstage Magic first, and then Keys to the Kingdom wasn't quite as spectacular...

I did the Family Magic Tour in Sept. 05 with DW and DN. This was a hoot.

Our tour guide was Hope and she was great with the kids. Read the reviews at http://allearsnet.com/btp/tours.htm . This is definitely more fun with kids and geared towards them.

I am going to look into the Keys to the Kingdom tour for dh. He can do that and ds and I can do the rides at MK.
