.....Is a silver lining.

I know, I know, I am a grump but the more it rains this weekend
the fewer 'trick or treaters' will be knocking at our door. That means more sweets left for us to eat (YUMMY!)

Michelle

Thanks for reminding me, I won't be answering the door this weekend!

The rain helped with another celebration slash festivally thingy too today- no penny for the guy harrassing at the bus stop!!

Overheard one person saying they had made £80 in a week from their "Guy"- the future of working is here!- Just carry a large stuffed pair of tights with you everywhere with a paper plate face and you'll be millionaire in weeks!!

Wonder what would happen if somebody did actually give tham a penny when they asked.......................:teeth:

behind every rain cloud..............

is an evil bastid like me waiting with a hose!

i hate those punk kid trick or treators lol. the ones that make an effort i dont mind but most these days just throw on a cape or a hat. and as for those teenagers that are wandering round expecting stuff. thats when i get mean

Like your style man!!Used to get punks like that coming over from the big estate/slum near where I used to live and muscling in on the kiddies who did live in our area, so most of 'em got short shrift from me too!! Makes Halloween worth while!

:jester: :jester: :jester:

LOL rhysd2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We answer the door for the first 10mins then it drives me crazy!!
Good job our doorbell is a wireless one all we need to do is unplug it LOL!

I hate the guys! went to KFC the other night and there was one plonked outside the door by some 15year old girls, asking for money argh! I said if I had a spare penny I would keep it for something more worth while than a pack of cig's or a bottle of cider! it really drives me insane its practically begging, wow I am showing some age here! LOL!

It annoys me, I think its getting old fashioned now, in the old days when I was little it was kind of tradition, and not that you knew kids was going to buy toffees etc now they are buying fireworks, cigs, cider etc...its just not the same! :(

RANT OFFICIALLY OVER!

"a large stuffed pair of tights with you everywhere with a paper plate face "

Slash m8, How could you describe the wife so accurately? Hehehehehe

I'm glad I'm not the only one who won't answer the door to the beggars at Halloween and Guy Fawkes night? Cos that's all they are! It would be different if at Halloween it was proper Trick or Treat like in the states. Then I wouldn't mind handing out sweets, but I refuse to give the little beggars money! Like Beth say's, if was spent on something other than ciggies and cider (and probably heroin and coke these days???).

Anyway, you've all made me feel alot better now. Thanks!:)

I don't mind if they've made the effort to dress up! It's the little monkeys who stick a mask on and demand money who get nothing from me :teeth:
