Begun this TRIP report has. New and Done Pg. 59

Thanks Chuck. It's nice to know that you can travel across country and have "friends" to say hi to.

You all are a HOOT! A HOOTY HOOT HOOT!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I have to say the girly scream coming from your son made me laugh right out loud. My DD 17 asked me what I was laughing at, so of course I had to spread your humiliation around. Too funny!
I too am afraid of heights. I can't even look at high things when they are on t.v. without getting sweaty palms.
And if ginormous (totally didn't spell that right) man belly is what it takes to win, then my ginormous lady butt will definately slow me down. I won't race you then.
We plan on going June 16-22, 2009. I'm hoping to get my room reserved next month. I wanted to stay for 10 days, but we are going to try another trip to Hawaii next year too. (DH got bit by a shark last year, and so we have some unfinished business over there) So, then it was down to 8 and now 5 full days. I won't go less than 5. I would love to meet some people from the DIS, my problem is is that there are SO many people that you would be there and I wouldn't recognize anyone. I'm decorating my window this time though!

Have you chosen your resort yet? I'm having a hard time this year! When it gets closer, maybe we can compare plans and see if we overlap. We'd be proud to say hi to ya!

BTW, shark thing? :scared1: Hawaii?

Where we not? I hadn't read that anywhere and no one said anything to us. That cement tears up the children's feet and it gets so hot!!! I guess I'd better look into it before next year! Maybe we can get a doctor's note. :lmao:

LOL - maybe I'm wrong - I hope so! I can't imagine walking around there with bare feet!

Yes, I think we've, well I, have settled on POR. There are 5 of us so not many choices in my price range at the moment. We like it there and like how close it is to DD. So, now it's just a matter of making the phone call and getting out the plastic.
Yes, my DH was attacked by an 8-10 ft tiger shark last summer while snorkeling off the coast of Oahu. If you google Harvey Miller shark, you can read the articles. He was on the Early Show and Good Morning America. It was a crazy "vacation" if you want to call it that. We'd only been there 3 days and it happened.
I would totally say hi to you and your family too.:thumbsup2

Oh MY! I just googled it and I can't believe it! Tell him I am so glad that he is alive and we all think he is extremely brave. I hope this Hawaii trip is much less eventful!

Chuck wants to do either a week at French Quarter and a week at Carribean Beach (depending on how we like it in Dec,) or just two weeks at French Quarter. We might be neighbors!! I am anxious to get some dates and a reservation on the books!!

I will tell him. Thank you:flower3:
We stayed at POFQ twice, when the kids were smaller, and we loved it. I LOVE how small the resort is and it's within walking distance of POR. I love how you can take a stroll along the river. If you decide on CBR, you'll definately have to tell me how it is. I've contemplated that one, but will probably have to do it after oldest DD graduates in 2010. CRAZY!

No, they loaded us into a raft with young couple.
I wish they wouldn't put 2 extra in when you're a 4 as it is a bit of a squeeze, well it's hard to know where to put your feet :rotfl2:

There is no graceful, ladylike way to get into that raft or sit in that raft. NO ONE should sit Indian Style in a bathing suit. NO ONE.
So true :rotfl2:

But I managed to get out and the Dream team was waiting for us, with Dream ears for everyone!
OMG fantastic, were they waterproof?

Good thing there was no one behind me…….except Jake. He screamed and paddled away, yelling,”I’m blind! I’m blind!”
Sorry but :rotfl:

As you pass by, the house sneezes and cold water spurts from the chimney. Cute!!
Unless it lands on you, wow it's cold :lmao:

Yeah, it wasn’t that bad. I’ll go back next summer. But I’m getting a different bathing suit!!
:rotfl2:

You can wear shoes, on the bus spiel before you arrive at BB/TL it recommends you do wear water shoes :thumbsup2

Yay! I'm glad to hear this. Not sure where I heard/read that you weren't allowed. :confused3 Anyway, now I really need to try a waterpark!

Yay! We made a convert!

BTW, my swimwear for next year will be a one piece with men's trunks over it (it's what Em always wears). The world is safe. Lynn wil be flashing no one!!:thumbsup2

When we went to register Jake this summer, there was a big signs saying, "Welcome Class of 2012!" :scared1: I am so not ready for this.

We got the Bayou in POR one summer and really enjoyed it. The kids thought it looked like Dagobah and Em loved the trundle bed.

OMG fantastic, were they waterproof?

Sorry but :rotfl:

No! The ears weren't waterproof. We saw a lot of people wear them all day. Not me!
Glad we gave you a chuckle!

Just stopping by to say I'm still enjoying the report. All the drama with the dreams and the Jamaican lady had me laughing out loud! Still loving the tag-team report writing. You both are hillarious.

Lynn, your story makes me want to go all "southern." My heavens!!! Bless your heart, Lynn, showing everyone what the good Lord gave you!!! :rotfl:

To make you feel better, I have a similar story -- one time Connor barged into the bedroom while I was changing, let out this blood-curdling girl-like scream, and went running as fast as he could down the hall! It was too funny, yet I know he was mortified.

Hey Lynn and Chuck! I'm back...well kinda. I am back from my travels for now and will get caught up with your Trippie tomorrow and hopefully work on mine a little. Hope all is well!

Thanks for the southern sympathy! I guess jake will recover in time.

That Connor story had me laughing!!
