Day One Part Two (I wish I could come up with a catchy titles for the chapters.....)
One of my favorite sights! Besides me, that is!
It was close to 8 pm by the time we got to Epcot so we decided to just walk around and bask in the fact that we were back in WDW.
And just in case you forgot what year it was!
Of course when we saw the short line for Spaceship Earth, we had to give it a go. What a great way to start a trip! (we took a moment to think of you, Heather!)
Jake has informed us that he wishes to decorate his room like the computer room is SE
Chuck rode with Jake and got some great shots.
I still love all the changes.
This is Jake’s new room. (minus the girl of course.)
There were some changes to the movie at the end. Instead of just waiting while the movie is being put together, the program is drawing bits of EPCOT.
We got the idea from here on the DIS to make crazy faces while the ride takes your picture. Look at Chuck’s face!
What? I wasn’t making a crazy face!
And here it is, Chuck and Jake’s future!! (Click the picture for the movie!)

I love hearing Chuck’s laugh on there!
Here is some more of the cool drawing it does at the end! It’s new too.
First there is this….
Then it becomes this…
And finally this!
It was pretty close to time for Illuminations by the time we were done. We hurried over to the bridge between the UK and France. If you stand there in the back, you can see the higher fireworks and then slip out the International Gateway.
Illuminations was awesome and inspiring as always. We just kept saying, “I can’t believe we were watching this on the internet last week and now we are here!” Last week? How about the night before?
Once it was over, we went out of the International Gateway and over towards the Boardwalk. Our plan was to walk over to Disney Studios to take advantage of the EMH that night.
It is wonderful to walk along the Boardwalk at night. Chuck and I dream of staying there one day. It was at this point that we realized we had not eaten any dinner!! We just happened to be walking by the Boardwalk Bakery.
What Luck! We JUST happened to be by the bakery when we figured that out!
Funny how that worked out.....
It was on one of the Disney specials, I think the Food Network one. We had to go in.
Sweets for supper! We are on vacation!
Chuck and I choose to share a Piece of Banana Pudding cake. Delish!
Jake opted for a brownie.
Emily just went with the traditional.
We sat out on the Boardwalk and enjoyed our treats. It’s a great atmosphere!
Our strength renewed, we started back towards DHS. It’s a nice walk while we reminisced about past trips and waved at the boats that went by. We looked up at the Dolphin and remembered the fountain we could see from our window and the room service tray for my birthday. We talked about all the things we would be doing. Soon DHS was in view. It looks beautiful at night.
I don’t know if you can tell from the picture, but the entrance was swarming with people.
by swarming she means there were people backed up all the way from the turnstiles to the ticket booths…and there were more people flooding in…YIKES! Where did they come from?
We decided to cut our losses and get some good rest for our next day.
Good Night!!
