Beginning to plan a trip for possible Oct: is it too late?

My trip in late June of 2014 I planned less than a week out. Hotel, flight, everything. It was okay. This Jan/Feb. trip I was making plans still the night before I left, I booked in Oct. I think? Still got every FP+ I wasted, and dined at California Grill during Wishes and BOG. Check for ressies around midnight EST for cancellations as often as you can.

So I am just beginning to plan a trip for October 2nd for my friends and I to visit the parks. I've always planned way ahead in the past and seeing some hotels booked for the full month is making me nervous. Should I push the trip further out? It would hurt my heart to wait till like January but I also don't want to have to compromise on a bunch of stuff because dining is full, hotels are full, and therefore the parks are full. Is October that crazy? I don't remember it being in the past...

I dont think its too late, however if you know you guys want to hit certain restaurants - check on them on the disney app to try to see if they are available before booking everything and notbeing able to do the trip the way you want it. However, many reses get dropped 30 days out for non payment so thats always a good time to check back for openings and availability.

Its never too late for a disney trip - plus in october you guys can go to the MNSSHP!

Have fun!
