We are just starting to plan our Disney Honeymoon!

We are thinking 10 nights at a Moderate Resort with the Dining Plan.

I have never been and my DF has not been since he was 9, so we figure we need time to kick back and see everything we want.

This board has a TON of info, but I'd like some advice.

We figure 10 days at a modreate resort costs the same as 6 at the Wilderness Lodge. We think we'd rather have the extra days! Do others agree?

Also we will definatly get "Park Hopper," but what about the water park and Pleasure island thing? We will definatly not go to the water parks, and neither one of us likes bars or clubs much, so is it worth it?

Finally, any other advice to make our trip extra special?

Thanks

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and on finding the DIS! I've only been here a few months myself, but I can tell you there are great people here and a ton of information. Here's what I think about your questions -- I'd stay longer at a mod. I think it is nice to be able to RELAX on your honeymoon and not have to rush to see everything in a short amount of time. I would not get the Plus options (or whatever it is called now) if you don't think you'll do a waterpark or PI. If oyu ant to go to one of them, just pay for the ticket OOP and it will save you $$. That's my 2 cents -- congrats again! :welcome:

if you don't like the adventure club or comedy warehouse - then definitely don't buy the extra stuff.

as to which to pick - will you and he be able to get off work for that long....
then I would also go with a moderate

POR and POFQ have boat access to DD/PI....

that say if you like to dance more than bars - you can do both also on BW - each place has a cover charge.

Check out renting points from A DVC member. BWV would be a nice place to stay. You can walk to Epcot and MGM. You also can get the dining plan renting.

The moderates are a great alternative to Deluxe. Port Orleans is a super resort and very reasonable. As far as you passes...well....is there a reason you won't go to the water parks? If you definately won't .....then I guess having the option is moot. At PI there is also a comedy club that is cool....we have found it a nice way to spend an evening after a nice dinner, but to each his own. It is good that you are making your plans now, just have a great time!
