Just a quick question, if you were going for three weeks in August would you choose beginning or end - does it make a difference for weather, queues opening hours etc?

Cheers

I have read that the local Florida schools go back around the second week in August and this has an impact on crowds in the parks - I will see if this is true when I'm there this August :)

I think the weather is much the same throughout July and August - hot and humid with daily thunder storms around mid afternoon.

We are provisionally booked for 9th - 30th of August next year but as flights have not been released apart from advanced registration we could change it. I had also heard crowds go down by end of August but of course the down side is that DH and I miss at least 3 games of opening football season :(

Nevermind, it is worth it to visit the mouse, even if DH is a little peeved at the prospect.

We now tend to go end of August - you still get the hot weather but the rowds die down around mid-August. Usually though park opening hours are also cut then:(

There are several places you can see live premiership games - Fridays have a sports bar on I Drive for instance that has shown the weekly Sky game in the past - if he is really desparate to watch.

Personally, I would choose the last three weeks - fewer crowds. Room rates also go down afterabout the 24th? Downside is that the hours generally get shorter - they should be out now.

.......another one who's going mid to late August - should be less crowded and some of the rates move into low season.

It'll still be hot and humid though.

To keep everyone happy we are now going 2nd - 23rd August 2004 instead, so partly in busy and partly in less busy times.

From the third week in August, the crowds disappear rapidly until the parks are almost empty by the end of September.

October has larger crowds than September though.
