I've only been to Disney in June, October, December, January and February.

How bad is the heat in early May? I was so miserable in June, I'm hoping May won't be quite so bad.

Thanks!

It can be quite variable. The year we went it was upper 90’s. Topped 100 more than once and it was crazy. Still had fun, but it was way hotter than typical temps.

Man that's the opposite of what I wanted to hear. I don't tolerate heat well.

Oh well, we will just have to plan to take it nice and easy.

We were there in early May a few years ago, and the temps that whole week were in the upper 90s. I don't tolerate heat well either, and it was awful; the sun was SO intense. I even ended up with heat rash on both my legs.

I think the weather in May is perfect! It's pretty warm, but the humidity is low.

I'd take May over any other month of the year in a heartbeat.

This is the major difference between May and later in summer. Even when I went in early June, it was a thousand times more pleasant than August or September because the humidity was still relatively low. May might be pretty warm, but usually not sticky and suffocating.

Been during that time twice. Once it was delightful. The other time it was pretty miserable. Like others have said, hard to predict. I would choose May over June and June over July every time.

That link is amazing! You did a terrific job on it!

We were there May 7-12 this year, and it was in the 90s every day. It got up to 95 one day. I don’t even know what the heat index was.

I will say it was better than summer though because the humidity was very low.

The weather in May will be near identical to June..Slightly less humidity. But it won't be as brutal as July/August/September. You'll feel like you're walking around a volcano spewing lava instead of walking on the sun lol

But it will certainly be plenty hot by then. If you want to avoid the hot weather then you'd really only want to visit mid Dec-mid Feb imo

We’ve gone first week of May the last two years. It can be as mild as 70s (needed jackets in the morning) and hot as mid 90s (or possibly hotter). I agree with PPs that it’s not as humid. It’s generally pretty nice (my kids complain a lot about how hot it is though). But my favorite FL weather is March or Nov. Less hot and humid in both cases.

That was the plan, until we found out we were expecting a little one in December. Our 2 year old turns 3 mid May so we wanted one more freebie trip with her

Mid April it starts getting pretty hot,May can have highs in the 80's and possibly the 90's,the later in the month the more chances for 90s obviously. However the rainy season starts late May to June,so before the rain comes it may be hot but it won't be as humid as June through September, the nights can also be pretty pleasant in May even if it gets hot during the day.The worst months for heat are obviously July and August,if heat is a problem those months have highs of 94-98 most days and heat indexes of like 110-115,simply put brutal, the only saving grace is the daily rain to cool it off,if it doesn't rain its unbearable unless you're at a water park, pool or beach.

O.P., if its too hot on most days, get the water parks option. Do rope drop/EMH, hop to the water parks in the afternoon, then back to the theme parks in the evening.

Like everyone else has said, early May can be perfect or it can unbearable (more like early August than early May). I had one trip where the locals were saying it was the hottest May they had in a long time. It doesn't stop me from going though! I would rather take a chance with early May weather than any of the summer months.

On the flip side, when I went last year in early October, it was warmer here in Pittsburgh than it was in Orlando. The weather is just crazy any more!
