Begin our trip on MM Sun 8/21 or Mon 8/22?

I know we are going to be at Disneyland during a very busy time, so wondering if we should begin our trip on MM Sun 8/21 or Mon 8/22. If we start on Sun, we will take advantage of two MM, Sun and Tues. But wondering if that Sun will be a mad house and we are better waiting to start our time in the parks until Mon. We will be there from 8/21-8/25 and staying at PPH. Thanks!

I would start your trip on the Sunday specifically because you'll be able to take advantage of 2 magic mornings. With the crowds looking the way they are right now, frankly, you may be hard put to see a difference between Sunday and Monday anyway.

You are right both those days will be terribly crowded. I would go with the two MM strategy myself. So Sunday-Tue.

You're coming from NJ. Getting up at 5:20am (for a 7am MM) will be like getting up at 8:20am in NJ.

Definitely start on Sunday. Even if crowded, take a break during the more crowded mid day & you'll be ok. Read HG's FP threads (& the first page of my one day trip report below....we also stayed at the PP) to get a feel for how to tour the parks. Plan on taking a mid day rest each day & plan on park hopping each day (it's easy from the PP).
