Before you rent from Gold Mobility

Just got back from our trip and wanted to post about my experience with Gold Mobility. Seeing this thread had made me a little nervous, but I went ahead and booked Gold Mobility. I had to call prior to my departure to move my delivery time back and they were very accommodating and made that change with no issues. Then only small complaint that I had was that the driver did not text me when he was on the way, but being a person that likes to be on time, I was there ahead of time anyway, so it did not matter at all. He was a very nice, helpful and polite young man and was willing to answer all my questions. The scooter itself looked to be almost brand new with very little wear and tear. I got a Pride Maxima ECV and we are not the type of people to go non stop from morning to night, but the battery on my ECV never even lost a bar, your milage may vary. Overall I was very happy with my experience with Gold Mobility and will continue to use them in the future.

Yes Gold has always been very good for us, from the people dropping it off to the highly maintained condition of the scooters. We used them many times over the years.

They’ve just gotten so expensive. What we were renting weekly for $160 in 2019 is like $250 today. It was $179 and always 10% off sale. They still have the 10% discount readily available, but now our starting price is $275 instead of $179. Huge jump!

Cumulative inflation is ~28% over that time. So $179 is equal to ~$205 today.

But their price has increased 40% over that time - from $179 to $250. Well beyond inflation.
