Just a quick and probably unneccessary reminder to take a moment to check AG's site first before clicking to bid or buy on ebay. Even a call to the AGPLace stores will often turn up items which appear sold out online and can be shipped to you.

After seeing Chrissa's llama listed with buy it nows between $39.99-$59.99 this week - when it's still available online thru AG and on sale for $15 right now - I just wanted to remind everyone that, just because an ebay seller says something is retiring or sold out, it still often pays to check with the company anyway before jumping on that "deal"...:goodvibes

:thumbsup2

By the way, this goes for anything. I saw some sneaky trickster on ebay trying to sell a Kirsten doll two moths ago, with the title "Retired". Although most of her stuff is sold out online as of Dec. 30th, she's definitely not considered "retired" yet. I can guarantee you she was available to buy 2 months ago - if not online, at least in stores (I was at one with my daughters not too long ago, and she was still on the shelves).

They use words like RARE and RETIRED and HARD TO FIND to put people in a panic and make them more likely to buy on impulse (and pay more than they should) rather than research it and wait to get the best price.

Thanks for your reminder!

This would also hold true for the goofy zhu zhus & other stuff along these lines. People preying on poor unsuspecting parents bother me :(

Thanks for the post!! :)
