Before the Shenanigans: A Christmas 2012 PTR (TR Link Posted 1/12/13!)

I'm sorry to hear of all the troubles your knee has been causing you, but the ECV will definitely be the best solution for you to easily get around! Do not stress about the busses, I've seen people need multiple attempts to make it on to the bus, and nobody minds! Just take your time, relax, and enjoy being at Disney! :goodvibes

Your trip is coming up SO soon!!!! That's so exciting!! :goodvibes

Thank you! Yeah, I finally had to swallow my pride and accept the fact that I'll be wheelin' 'round the World. As my mom likes to remind me, "Pride goeth before the fall," and the last thing I want to do at WDW is FALL!! :faint:

SOOOOOOOO freakin' close!

OK, calm yourself, Laura Lee...there's still a lot to do before you can let yourself go all crazy.

Which brings me to something I'm almost ashamed to admit.

I haven't really been all that excited about this trip. I mean, I have been, but not like I usually am. I've stressed out so much about the Christmas crowds and making everything extra special for everyone that it's put a damper on my usual level of energized enthusiasm. And when I would start to get all revved up, I'd remember what I had been stressing about and BOOM I'd start stressing all over again.

I'm pretty sure I'm certifiably crazy.

In a nice way. :rotfl:

So, last night, I sat down with the itinerary I've been slaving over for MONTHS and practically redid the whole thing. Well, sorta. OK, not really; but it felt like I did. ADRs were locked in, of course, so I couldn't do anything about that. But I was able to split Epcot into two days and snag a Garden Grill ressie for the second day.

FYI, my brother and Gabriel don't want to spend ALL their time walking around theme parks and requested that I only schedule one day for each park. A ten day WDW vacation with only four park days? What have you guys been smoking?

Have no fear, I told them they're both nuts; but I tried to comply anyway. I scheduled long days for MK and HS, and since AK closes early, its not really an issue. But Epcot, as you all know, is GINORMOUS; and it really isn't feasible to do it all in one day. So I took it upon myself to split it up.

Take that, boys!

It's understood that we won't all be together all the time; and I will for sure be heading back to POR more often than I'd like to rest, elevate, and ice my knee. I figure if Brianna is tired, she can go back with me and chill for a while.

And after changing things up a bit and making sure to alternate late nights and sleep-in mornings (not all of us are bright sunshiny greet the day at the crack of dawn people), I feel much better about my plan. This morning I'm like Tigger...bouncing with excitement about going to DISNEY!

It's a Christmas Miracle!

Don't worry! No Disney trip is ever perfect, and that's okay! I'm sure your expert planning skills will make the trip wonderful! If you don't come back here before you leave, I hope you have a wonderful trip!
