Before or After--WWYD?

We have our Wonder cruise booked for 11/12-11/16 and are going to do a few days at WDW . We'd rather do the parks before the cruise BUT the Friday and Saturday we'd be there happens to fall on Vet's day/F&W fest/SSW and should be pretty busy . From what I read here the next week is more quiet and we would stay Thursday (DS 8th bday!!) and Friday, going home Saturday. Would you brave the crowds and go before the cruise or wait til after? I don't know how tired we'll be after the cruise. I keep going back and forth and just can't seem to make up my mind . TIA

We went to WDW after our Magic cruise a few years ago. We weren't tired from the cruise at all! We were super relaxed. The problem was, after the cruise, everything at WDW seemed like so much WORK! We were so spoiled.

But, I think if there were going to be major differences in crowd levels, I would go for less crowds.

I'd go before the cruise. You do get spoiled on the ship and if you go after you won't appreciate as much in the parks. I LOVE the parks, but they were honestly a let down after going on the cruise. I decided that if I ever do parks and the cruise on the same trip, I'll always do the parks first.

If it were me Id go before the cruise.. With only a few days in the parks you wont get to ride everything anyways and even if its crowded you can take advantage of Fastpass where avl and just make sure you mainly ride the rides you wanted to and do the things you wanted to.. It wouldnt be a matter for me of how Im going to feel after the cruise, but rather how Im going to feel after walking around WDW for a few days.. You'd have the hard part behind you and would be able to enjoy the cruise and relax.. Then you wouldnt be so exhausted when you go home..
