We are looking at an early Feb trip, either 1st or 2nd week of Feb. If we choose the 2nd week, we will not check out until Sunday, Feb 15. Presidents Day is Monday, Feb 16.

When does it get so crowded? Should we expect Valentines weekend to be much more crowded because of President's day, or does the crowd really not pick up until Feb 15 or 16? Have you been this weekend? (We were there for Valentines one time, but President's day was not until Feb 21st that year). Thanks

1) President's Week is the 3rd busiest week of the year.
2) Consider the whole weekend before as busy
. . . Saturday is busy as locals come out
. . . Saturday isalso the last day of many vacations
. . . Sunday is a little less busy as people start to arrive

Agree with previous poster - weekend before President's Day is busy, especially for the MK, beginning with Friday and including the Day itself. Doesn't matterr where in the month President's Day falls.

Have been several times during this period and found that it isn't bad at all if you just avoid the MK on that Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The Friday is usually OK. Since you are going for a week, you can easily plan around the busy times at the MK.

Last time we were in the World over this period, my SIL ran into some people she knew President's Day evening. They'd been to the MK that day and described it as "stroller gridlock". They had to leave because they literally couldn't get anywhere. Since we had been elsewhere that day and encountered very manageable lines and crowds, her respect for my planning skills/foresight increased enormously. (She had wanted to do MK that weekend, but I eventually convinced her to save it for later in the week). She didn't question my choice of parks for the day again, LOL! (Actually, I sound inflexible. Wasn't. Gave them lots of choices everyday. Just didn't include the ones I knew wouldn't be good ones).

Anyway - I think you will have a good time. Hope the weather cooperates!

If you choose the week that ends with the President's Day weekend, just be sure you do all the long line attractions prior to the weekend. I would choose the first week in Feb.

We went the week before Pres. week in 2002 and found it to be very crowded. This year we went the first week of Feb and got to ride things like Test Track multiple times without getting off. If you have the flexibility -- go the last week of Jan or 1st week of Feb.
