Before I panic - how long until the deal is sealed?

We paid our downpayment and signed all the papers on July 16. It's almost a month later, and I haven't heard anything from our guide, and I haven't received anything in the mail. Will I hear from my guide or receive anything? I just thought I would ask here before panicking and calling my guide to see what's going on.

We signed papers onsite on July 23rd. Our closing is set for Aug. 22nd. So I don't expect to hear from them or get our permenant DVC cards until after that. So your closing is probably around the 15th or so. Hope that helps!

Did they give you a closing date then? Did I miss something during our signing frenzy? Probably so, huh? I guess I was thinking I would hear a little something from our guide, maybe thanking us for joining, but I guess they've been swamped with the opening of SSR.

How about calling your guide NOT in a panic, just to see what's up? That's allowed too! I'm sure everything is fine but I'm also sure you can't wait to know when you are truly a member!

By the way, you can also called Member Services and see when you are scheduled to close, they also have access to that information.

Yes, closing was listed on the paper work, but we signed onsite (at Disney, we didn't mail it in). And Lori is right, MS confirmed when I called to make our first reservations.

Oh jeez - I totally missed seeing that on our papers. I'll go pull them out tomorrow and read them again before I give MS or our guide a call. I think I was just so excited about signing that nothing sank in right at that moment.
