I have heard talk about changes in booking the dining plan for DVC stays.....

Can I still wait until 48 hours beofre our stay to add it or do I have to add it now when I book? If I do have to add it when I book, can I cancel it or change plans later down the road?

Just got back from a wonderful trip last night, and already planning and booking (soon) next year's........

When I made my reservation a coule of weeks ago, the CM said we have up until 48 hrs befor to book. They don't even have the 2011 prices out yet, so I don't think they can actually add it yet.

I tried last Wednesday to add the dining plan to a ressie in Feb and they couldn't add it since the prices haven't been released.

Last week I just added the dining plan to our Dec. reservation that we've had since Jan. so yes you can still add after booking time.

Is it possible to ring and pay for the dining plan before I go? - I like the idea of it all being 'sorted' before I get there (especially as I am at the mercy of the exchange rates!!)- I did ask MS when I rang to make a booking, but she said that I pay on arrival - is that right??

Many thanks:thumbsup2

Currently you can only pay upon arrival. We have been told that Disney is working on accepting early payment and that we may see it later this year.

thanks Bill, I thought I had seen something about that - I'll just hope they sort this so I can pay before I get there - will make me feel like I am getting free dining then!!!:lmao:

If you want to lock in the exchange rate could you buy travellers' cheques and use them to pay on arrival?

I could (if, and its a huge if!!!:rotfl:) the rates improve, but it was more about paying in advance to know what it was all costing and as I say, feeling as though it was free!!!:goodvibes
