Before I booked by FP+s...I wish I knew that ?

What do you wish you knew before you got your FP+ (or tried to) ? Our last WDW trip was 2012 and much has changed, so I find myself wondering if I know what I need to know as my 60 days out looms very near.

I can (already!) start with,...I wish I knew that FP+s could not be booked during special event ticket nights. We have tickets for MNSSHP and I had no clue. I have since learned they can be booked for the pre-party which is 4-7 (but fast passes must be between 4:30-6:30) I think?!

I thought a thread like this may help those of us who don't know, what we don't know!

I wish I would have known once you booked 3 and you wanted to change 1, you had to cancel the whole bunch of them (unless you called to get special override from a CM, which wasn't guaranteed).

Have they fixed that? I think they have.

You have always been able to change just one. The problem that people were having was that instead of changing the fastpass, they were cancelling it. If you cancelled one fastpass you couldn't book another one without calling Disney.

You don't have to do that. You can easily change just one. Changing the time of it, or changing it to a totally different attraction.

I think the poster realizes this now. "I wish I had known" In other words if I would have known I wouldn't have cancelled them all.

With the updated FP system (April 2016), you can Cancel FPs and not lose the allotment.

If you are park hopping and when in Park#1, you can Cancel FPs for Park#1 and book via the app for Park#2.
