Hi everyone!
This is the true story of eight deeply fascinating people (but mostly me) and our kooky adventures at DLR from May 25-30. Before the trip began, I wasn't planning on writing a report, but I think I would be doing the world a disservice by not sharing our experiences with the universe. Join in the fun, won't you?
Before I begin, here's a brief intro to the cast of characters:
Me: I'm 34, a part-time SAHM, and a WDW enthusiast with a love for trip planning. If I had it all to do over again, I think I would either be a travel agent or the lady who dresses as a bird and spins on the ribbon during "Can you feel the love tonight?" during the Lion King show in the AK.
DH: Also 34 (10 days younger than me) and my favorite person in the world. He is funny, smart, and kind, and he showed me the wonder that is Disney. He's a great dad and uncle and an excellent fastpass procurer and park navigator. He rocks.
DS: He is almost 14 months old, and he is the joy of my existence. As you will find out in this trippie, he is a very friendly, happy little guy who lights up a room and loves everyone. He teaches me so much about life.
Sister: 33 and a great mom to two cool girls. She's very easy to get along with on trips--fun-loving, open for whatever, and not too stressed. I really enjoy traveling with her and her girls.
Niece 1: Almost 10--I think she is my little clone. Sometimes I hear her say something or see some project that she's working on and think that I've said or done the exact thing somewhere along the way. Like me, she's reserved around people she doesn't know very well, but once you're in the circle of trust, she opens up. She's a good kid.
Niece 2: She's 7, and she's a giant ball of creativity and happiness. She loves to sing and make up plays. When we went to WDW in September 07, she serenaded DH and I for about two hours in our hotel room. She's a hoot.
Mom and Dad: I always group them together for some reason. They are great parents, funny people, and lots of fun on trips. They are excellent grandparents, and I'm glad that they enjoy traveling with us.
So there you go! Stayed tuned for my next installment, all about how this trip came to be.
Thanks for reading!
