Beetlejuice Graveyard Review

I just read that Beetlejuices Graveyard Revue has a rating of PG-13. Is this because the music is so loud, the pyrotechnics are frightening or for the 'scary' characters? My 4 y/o son really likes Beetlejuice - do you think this show would be okay for him - or do you think it is too scary? Thanks!

The music is loud....there are not many pyrotechnics....The characters aren't that scary. I would say the main reason might be some of Beetlejuice's jokes. I'd be willing to bet that your 4 year old would not even get them...Its a great show.

Thanks, Europa! I have seen some the pictures of the show and the characters look more comical than scary - especially given the setting. We'll give it a try - I guess we can always leave if it is too much for him.

Yeah...they aren't really too scary...although hearing Beetlejuice telling some sexual jokes is a bit... But I'm sure those will fly over the kid's head...thankfully.
Maybe he'd like Ghostbusters better...I know it entertains teenage girls (like me)mostly, but for his age, it may be fun still. I've seen little kids watch and enjoy it. Not at all scary...rather fun to watch... AND Beetlejuice is part of that too!!

Has your son seen Animal Planet Live?
If not, he should see that!

I don't recommend the Graveyard Revue...didn't like it much at all, BUT that's just my opinion. For all I know your son will LOVE it.

That's how Beetlejuice is.

And if you think that's bad, the Bill & Ted show at HHN always pushes the limits. In a good way, of course.

Bill and Ted?! I missed that last year! Are they going to bring it back this year? It's based on the cartoon right? I never did see the cartoon before...only the movies. Hahaha...too funny.

I never said I couldn't handle it though. But I'm sure a mom would appreciate a warning before she goes...

Of course they'll bring Bill & Ted back. For some, that's the only reason they go. And their characters are based on the movies. The only downfall is that it's been the exact same show for the past 4 years. Well, exact same format that is.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this show. I'd never seen it before and thought the singing was great. I guess there were some suggestive jokes - but nothing I thought went over the line - I guess it depends on where your line is!

The only thing remotely "scary" about it is the loud noises from some of the effects.

Its a great show and I think the kids love it because he doesn't talk down to them after the show hes quite a charcter to talk to a lot of fun
