My DS age 5 is extremely freaked out by bees and wasps. Silly question--but are there any on board to worry about--perhaps buzzing all around garbage cans? My pediatrician recommended just spraying him with bug spray every time he goes outside--and it seems to work--at least psychogically!!

He got stung last year--without provocation--and has never forgiven or forgotten the whole species!!! Poor little guy.:faint:

Thanks for your inside info!!

We just returned from a 7 day Western and didn't see one flying insect the whole cruise. This even includes when we are at ports and also at Castaway Cay. They are very quick on emptying trash pails.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

All of the garbage is stored in refridgerators, so there is no insect problem. We've been on two cruises, and haven't seen any insects.

Now, on shore might be a different matter, but on the ship, no problem! The worst you might see on the ship is a mouse! ;)

Never seen ANY bees/wasps at DisneyWorld/Cruise in 7 visits! Must be a DISNEY thing! Haha. Nat:Pinkbounc

thanks for the reassurances---but a MOUSE?? I hope you mean Mickey--because I am freaked out by the small brown kind !!!

Thanks all!!

I don't even recall seeing any garbage cans, never mind insects.
