Hi ,
Can someone tell me how bad the bee population is in Orlando, around the parks in Feb?

I have a severe bee allergy and just want to prepare myself for what could be there.

Thanks
Sheri

My dd had gotten stung in feb. while leaving epcot. I would come prepared and hopefully you won't need it. Better safe then sorry!;)

I am allergic as well and have never given consideration to the problem. We have been to Disney over 15 times and I don't recall a bee ever making me nervous. They are really not a problem, at least on-site.

If you have a kit, it will not take up much room. Bring the kit, relax and forget about them.

Honey Bees are not a problem, they mind their business and do their flower thing.
However, wasps and yellow jackets are plentiful in the fall around the trash cans or wherever soda is spilled or sold.
I am also midly allergic to their stings and don't even think about it. Just check before you sniff a flower. :)

I too am allergic to bee stings.we always visit in May, October and February. They do seem to occasionally be around trash cans in May and even October but I have never seen any in February. Don't let this fear spoil your planning or your trip - its a lot of wide open space and unless you are walking thru bushes and flowering plants I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Enjoy your time.

those are yellow jackets around the trash cans, wasp family, capable of stinging more than one time and they have a very nasty temper. Bees are much less aggeressive, can only sting once and don't hang around trash. I hate it when bees get a bad rap. :)
